Review: I used this service to get home from [redacted]. While waiting in line to get into a car, multiple signs advertised that they take credit card, and it was only a $19 flat fee to drive my zone from [redacted]. I ended up with the driver named [redacted]. When we arrived at my place, he claimed that the price was $30 and said cash only. Since it was my first time, I didn't argue, but I should have put up more of a fight. After this incident, I read up reviews on [redacted] for [redacted], and discover that they contracted [redacted] for their customers. Numerous reviewers report the same issues and price discrepancies.Desired Settlement: Ideally, the business would fix their practice to be honest. More customers should be aware of their misconduct history. Finally, I would like a refund of $11.00 cash.

This letter is to contest the complaint filed against our driver, [redacted], ID# [redacted]. Unfortunately when we received the complaint the driver was and is still away on vacation and we cannot verify any information from him. Since he is away we feel it would be best to pay the customer the $11 which in dispute. We will pay this through check to the information of the customer that was given to us through the complaint letter. We also apologize for this inconvenience but we always have dispatchers on site that ask every customer whether they will be paying with credit card or not because we have special vehicles with the machine in them and others that don't. It is necessary and appreciated for the custom.er to advise us which payment method they will be using so we can provide them with the correct service. Also when these types of problems occur because unfortunately they do it is always best to solve the situation at that time with the company. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Firstly, I appreciate that El Barrio Car Service has responded to my case. I would like to accept the $11 that they have agreed to pay. However, when I wrote the complaint, money was not my main concern. In their response, they claim that their driver [redacted] is and has been away on vacation since the incident, so they have not been able to verify any information with him. For me to be satisfied, I would also like a handwritten and signed apology letter from [redacted] himself.
