Review: El Centro motors took my truck in for a warranty job that required a ford specialist to look at. This took several weeks. They did not offer me a car to drive in the mean time. I use my truck for work as a farmer. I have a diesel tank and air compressor which cannot be removed from the truck. The truck was there close to six weeks which really messed with my work. While the truck was there the tool box was broken into and around $1200 worth of tools were taken. The storage lot where my truck was kept has a low wall around the outside and any one can walk onto the lot at anytime. There are limited cameras and when I told them of the theft they said that they would check the security tapes but that the cameras don't cover all of the lot where my truck was parked. No compensation was offered and they said there is not much that they can do about the lack of security on their lot.Desired Settlement: I would like to get at least a refund for the tools lost from security negligence.

We are in receipt of your letter from 5/21/2013 with regards to Mr. [redacted].
As Mr. [redacted] was made aware of at the time he signed the authorization to repair his vehicle, El Centro Motors
is not responsible for any personal items left in vehicles for repairs. Specially one like Mr. [redacted]s that needed intensive
repairs and was going to be here for a while.
Our lot is big and even though it's gated at night, there is no way to maintain complete security for every vehicle in it.
We do have cameras that record activity 24 hours a day and the files can be copied and sent to law enforcement if requested.
At the time that Mr. [redacted] made our service manager aware of the missing equipment, he was asked to file a police report which
he refused to do. Therefore, there was nothing for us or any insurance company to follow up on.
Mr [redacted] made a comment that his equipment was painted in a different color green and that he would find it a local Swapmeet.
