Review: My fiance purchased a ring from this business, and paid for it in a timely manner. Upon receiving the ring, we noticed that the band was cracked and the diamond was crooked. We contacted the jeweler who made the transaction with my fiance, and he said to bring it back. As soon as we we able to we took the ring back to him to be "fixed." Once we got it back, it was in worse shape than when we had initially dropped it off. After contacting him to see if we could have a full and to give his horrible jewelry back to him he declined our request for a refund. We then took it to another jeweler in town to find out exactly what was wrong with the ring. We got a overview of the issues and called carlos (the jeweler) back. He then told us we were wrong and that "buying from there is like buying a car, once you leave with it, its your problem" we had no choice but to have the ring fixed, it is an engagement ring. We had it fixed and when we talked to carlos again he had expressed that he wanted to make the situation right and would be reimbursing us for the cost. Once he was given copies of the receipts and what had been done to the ring, he reneged his agreement to pay the cost and started making wild requests, like copies of our drivers licenses and for us to travel 50 miles to sign a paper to just "start the process" of getting our money back. Once I told him that that wasnt part of the inital plan and that we gave him everything he asked for he told me he wouldnt be giving us our money and to deal with it.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the money he offered to give us to fix the ring. He let us take home a ring with a crooked diamond and a cracked band. He didnt even check the work before he left my fiance leave with it. He also never informed us that he was going to be sending it to another town to be worked on, yet he apparently did, giving him the chance to not be accountable for his actions.
