Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:My complaint [redacted] was closed because the person from the business is saying that my complaint is not with them, but my lease was transferred to [redacted] in and that is the company I paid rent toI will contact the email provided but I think this person is wrongfully trying to make it sound like I do not have any reason to have a grievance with them, which is untrueI think the complaint should stay open-- [redacted] Regards, [redacted]

I am not sure [redacted] has her dates exactly correct on when she had items taken care of at her propertyWe have already reimbursed her for smoke alarm and flood lights, check #We appreciate [redacted] and her lease term, she was there over yearsI will attached the pictures of the yard and cleaning issuesThese are not charges, these are charges the owner had to pay to get the house ready for the next tenantAs I stated earlier, we appreciate her lease term and be more than happy to assist, if she can come up with invoices for the work she claims she had done after she moved out, such as cleaning and yardAlso, attached are the invoices the owner paid

While I fear that this is more 'the norm' with this company than an exception- they have agreed to refund the disputed portion of the deposit (although not legally required to do so)Therefore, they have taken care of me and my complaintI sincerely hope that this was simply a case of being very busy/ poor communication and not a poor general practice of the organizationThanks to the broker for a quick resolution to this and for going beyond what is legally requiredIt is appreciated. I am rejecting this response because: I have not received the reimbursement of my application fee in the amount of $35 from Century 21/BVPM. The business #1 has not informed me it was ready and #2 has not informed me of the proper procedure to receive my refund. Therefore, they are not being truthful in their response to this complaint.

The applicant applied for a property and the owner of a property decided to accept another applicant. We reversed the check in the system and informed [redacted] that it was ready for her to pick up. She already came by the office and has received the 35$ reimbursement. I have attached a receipt...

that it was reimbursed in the system on 4/25/17. I have left voicemails as well and have not heard back from her.

As I stated earlier, we appreciate her lease term and be more than happy to assist, if she can come up with invoices for the work she claims she had done after she moved out, such as cleaning and yard. Yes, they were able to locate records that confirmed what I had been telling them all along, and I received my security deposit back. While I do think the company should be more transparent in the future about which "umbrella companies" are in charge of which aspects of their operations, I appreciate [redacted] reaching out to assist me. He was the first person to return emails and attempt to understand my concerns. Although I think better communication and documentation could have prevented this whole ordeal, I'm willing to mark the complaint as satisfactorily resolved.

anything with real estate, do not cash or deposit the security deposit refund check and then dispute your refund. In most real estate issues, a cashed, deposited check or a transfer of funds is considered a completed real estate transaction. Most real estate companies would not even consider your request and you would not have much recourse to collect it. But the owner of this property is an extremely good person and has agreed to refund it to you after the fact. Hopefully, this will take care of this situation and you can continue on with your life.
