I purchased a set of tires for my truck about 6 months ago. My truck began to pull to the right while driving, as well as shake violently. I took my truck to a dealership to get the alignment fixed, but was told the alignment was fine. I then tried to get the tires balanced, but I was informed that the tires could not be balanced because the belts were separating, and they needed to be replaced. I then drove to "Tires To You" to have the tires replaced, but they refused to acknowledge the obvious bulges in the tires as belt separation. I was told by "Tires To You" that the tires were fine. They told me the reason my truck was pulling to the right and shaking was a result of bad shocks and suspension issues. When I told them I had already had the truck inspected for alignment issues they said, "those guys are is, they don't know what they are talking about". I drove straight from "Tires To You" to the dealership where I purchased the truck and dropped it off to get the entire truck checked for suspension issues. After inspecting the truck for 3 days the dealership called me and they had found no issues with the suspension. They came to the conclusion that the tires were faulty. I then went back to "Tires To You" with the paperwork from the dealership confirming that it was the tires that were bad. When I arrived I explained to one of the owners (Toby) everything that had transpired within the past week and instead of taking the dealerships word for it he said to me, " Oh those guys are is, they don't know what they are talking about". The bulges in the tires had grown too large to ignore though and he was forced to acknowledge their presence. Unfortunately, instead of agreeing to fix them, he began searching for yet another reason to not replace the tires. He found a cut in one of the tires tread and stated that because one of the front tires had a cut in it, he would refuse to replace them. Both front tires showed obvious 3 foot long bulges on the inner tread. After I informed him I had read these particular tires had a recall, he called me a liar and told me to leave. I then asked for some sort of receipt or letter stating why he was refusing to warranty my useless tires. When I informed him that I planned to contact the tire manufacture to see if it was even legal for him to refuse he stated he would replace 1 of the tires, but not both. It was just a flat out terrible experience. The owner left while they were replacing the one tire, and the people working there were apologizing to me for his attitude. One of the managers who had not been present during our conversation noticed the state of the tire they refused to replace and had the technicians move it to the back of the vehicle. He did this because he said that tire is obviously bad, and it is at risk of blowing out any minute. He then tried to contact the owner to express his concern, but the owner still refused to replace the tire. I was informed by a technician that if the tires were bad then they would send them off and be given new tires at no expense to the business. So I'm lost as to why this wasn't a simple exchange. Throughout the entire experience the owner was making snide comments in an attempt to get a reaction out of me. I am completely baffled as to how this place is still in business with a guy like that at the helm.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The business is the one who contacted me after their quote of $400 to ask me if I was on my way. Then they contacted me a second time to see if I would pay more than a customer that was standing in front of them, sort of like creating a bidding war, I said I couldn't do it. Later I called asked if they were still available and for sale at the $400 price, they said yes. I reminded them how far I was driving so they needed to make sure the tires were the right size, price and in stock. They repeated the size tire I needed said it was in stock and said I could purchase them and have them mounted for $400. It is not my fault if the employees are not all aware of all the fees of this company all I know is what I was quoted and how far I drove just to have not an employee but the owner call me, the 3rd phone call I received from this company, to tell me and I quote no hello' how are u doing just "turn your as around you aren't buying these tires, if you show up I'll call the cops" What professional deals with any customer in that manner. It's not okay. And if all he wanted was $56 more I would've paid that.
