Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/04/28) */
The buyers statement that the salesman told her there were no fees due at *** DMV is impossible because our sales staff does not have access at any time to Titles, they do not know where a vehicle was last registered or titledOur
office staff (title clerk) cannot access *** DMV records in regards to registrations feesWe do at the time of sale let buyers know that we are giving them a clear title (if we have one present) and that they will need to contact the DMV for their state for registration and title feesIf *** has back registration due on a vehicle purchased in another state that has nothing to do with the sellerWe have no way of knowing what *** is doing to their residentsWe cannot fathom why the buyer figures we should refund because the state she resides in is charging her for something we have nothing to do with
The buyer has had the vehicle since March 7, Fifty three days (53)Today is the first time we had even heard from the buyer. The buyer had a person call and verbally abuse our staff, threaten our staff and tell our staff how they should do their jobsThe caller stated we Nevada Towing Incshould have Washed the Title, by changing it into the company name through Nevada DMV to erase *** from the pictureThis is a highly illegal process and my staff found it offensive and ended the call
Though we sympathize with the buyer and the unfair fees imposed on them by the State of *** we do not have an obligation to refund money on this vehicleWe are a Nevada based company selling product in the State of Nevada

Nevada Towing Inc. Did sell [redacted] of Stockton CA a 2000 [redacted] on 1/3/2017. Mr. [redacted] did contact our office and claimed the [redacted] was not running properly. The vehicle was Sold AS Is. Mr. [redacted] not only signed a Federal...

Buyers Guide but also the Nevada Used Vehicle Inspection Report stating that he understood that the vehicle was AS-IS. Upon discussing his dissatisfaction with the vehicle he stated that for the money he really just wanted something a bit newer. It is unfortunate that he has buyers remorse. Nevada Towing is unable to refund the purchase price for the vehicle. Thank you

We apologize for the delayed response. The customer also filed a complaint with the State of Nevada NTA Nevada Transportation Authority, and posted negative reviews online regarding our service, before ever contacting our office to discuss the...

issue.
As of today the NTA has been in contact with our office and has stated that we did not violate any state laws for charges. We take pride in the fact that in 13 years of business we have never been sighted and we comply with the State on every towing issue. Our drivers determine the severity of each tow/recovery and the appropriate method and truck that needs to be involved. In this case we were called out by NHP and told we would be overturning a 28ft trailer loaded with a side by side. The customer feels a flatbed truck could have safely done the job, our lead driver does not agree and as he (our driver) is certified we must agree that the units used were used for a purpose. The Wrecker was used for the Recovery Portion of the tow - to get the trailer and its contents back upright on the road. The flatbed was used to transport the damaged trailer from the accident scene to the customers home. Both units were needed and both units on a consent tow rate run at $150 per hour with a two hour minimum. We do not negotiate our rates whether the customer contacts us directly or goes through law enforcement we have set fees and follow them. Our fees reflect the cost of being in business. We understand that this is not the answer the customer is seeking, and that they will only be satisfied with a refund of 50% of the cost. We can only suggest turning in the invoice to their insurance carrier and seeking reimbursement from them. We will not be reducing our fee.
