El Primero Hotel Reviews (4)

First off, our regrets that Dr*** did not elect to stay with usSince she did not stay with us, the El Primero Hotel have no reason to
charge the Guest nor PricelineI understand, Priceline pre-paid bookings are generally non-refundableThis particular reservation did not benefit
the Guest
nor the hotelI would be supportive of any claim for refund by Dr*** under this extenuating circumstances through Priceline
Secondly, I was only mentioning the CC on file is not the same as Dr***There was no accusation of "stolen credit card" as stated in the complaint
Unfortunately, Dr*** did not give us time to check the reservation through Priceline before leavingSo we never got the full story.
Respectfully.../*** *** (Innkeeper--- 2407050)

1. I am disputing categorically the statements that [redacted] stated in this complaint.
 2. True, [redacted] called following a reservation he made through Priceline
11px;"> (name your price) Via Magnuson Hotels. His reservation was for a Queen (single) bed. (He pre-paid
Priceline and not the Hotel as he is stating in his complaint. The hotel did not charge Priceline, and especially [redacted] because all the hotel have from Priceline /Magnuson
is his Name, no Telephone Number, no Credit Card from [redacted]).
3. The conversation started with [redacted] requesting for a two-bed (he prepaid Priceline, "name your price" a single queen bed). When I mentioned that there will be an extra charge (of $25.00
not $200 per day as he stated in the complaint, he raised his voice and threatened to write a bad review,  complaint to Revdex.com and the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce. Later he asked his significant-other ([redacted], I heard you asked her in the back-ground) if she want to pay the extra $25.00 per day, she answered no.
4. It is obvious that [redacted] expect an upgraded guest room without willing pay more that what he paid Priceline. ([redacted], the $200.00 is our daily rate during the COMICON Convention and not our extra bed rate.
5. Unfortunately, [redacted] you wanted to control the conversation  (called me "cheap") and would not let me talk till you hang-up... That is why we are here!!!
6. And sorry, [redacted], your request is not routine if you yourself are not flexible.

Review: We purchased a prepaid hotel stay with El Primero Hotel with Priceline witht he understanding that we could make a hotel request for a room with a king bed or two double beds. I have made such arrangements with other hotels with no problem. The owner of this hotel sells his rooms on Priceline; has rooms with two double beds or two queen beds available, but refuses to allow us to have an available room with two double beds. Hotel operators who sell their rooms through Priceline are aware that folks call in for hotel requests and if their is room will accomodate these guests. I spoke to the owner and even after pre-paying the hotel more than $1200, he refused to accomodate a reasonable hotel request. My wife is traveling with a friend and they are not a couple and are not accustumed to sleeping together in the same bed. The hotel owner again refused our request and said that the only way that he would provide a room with two double beds would be if we paid him $200 a night directly. My complaint is that we reserved five months ahead of time; that he has rooms with two double beds in them; that we reserved to stay with him for a full week, but out of self interest and lack of consideration for repeat business he refuses to accomodate a routine request.Desired Settlement: We desire one of the available rooms with two double beds in them as he has the rooms available, but out of self interest refuses to acomodate the very people who keep his business going: his customers.

Review: I booked a hotel-flight-rental car package through priceline.com for stay at the El Primero Hotel April 24-April 28. I pre-paid for the vacation in January 2014. When I arrived at the hotel, the owner insisted that I owed money for my stay. I explained to him that I booked my package through priceline and showed him confirmation. He again stated that I had not paid and gave me a bill that would be due at checkout. He did not try to contact priceline or accept my itinerary stating that I paid in advance. Additionally, he accused me of using a stolen credit card because the number he had in his computer was not my credit card number. Therefore, I left I had booked another hotel in the area.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded $300 from my vacation from the hotel or priceline.
