The company cancelled my layaway without notice and offered no explanation as to why. If the product was discontinued then a replacement item should of been offered, but I am only speculating since no reasonable explanation was given or responded to by my emails

Review: I'm trying to find out what is going on with this company. I think they may have went out of business. When you call customer service you hold for about 1/2 hour then it hangs up. I sent several emails a week ago and none have been returned. I looked up the Revdex.com report and it looks like they were a member but no longer. I read a post from a customer on the Revdex.com profile and she stated she has been trying for weeks to get hold of someone and there is no one answering or returning calls. I tried to put a laptop in layaway and I get an error that merchant ([redacted]) no longer available. I tried several items and get the same message. I tried calling the corp office and the lines disconnect. It's obvious they are going under.Desired Settlement: I want contacted either by email or phone.

I have purchased a few items from this site.

First, the site is easy to navigate, I only wish they had more selection.

Second, I have not encountered any difficulties getting what I ordered. I finish paying off the account and I get what I paid for.

Disclaimer notice: I liked the business so much I purchased stock in the company. This occurred after I used their services but prior to my writing this review.

I payed off my purchase through elayaway and was extremely excited to receive the item. Unfortunately that never happened. 3 weeks went by and every time I called to check on the status of my item being shipped I got the same response.. That they were waiting on the confirmation through the retailer and that I "would receive an email with the tracking number that day". Well the email never came and neither did the item. I called today to cancel the transaction all together and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will receive the $2,300 I sent to them. It really is too bad because I was looking forward to doing more business with them in the future.

Review: I opened 2 layaways with eLayaway. A Samsung refrigerator on 6/12/13 and a MacBook on 6/19/13. I had paid a total of $2029.46 on the refrigerator and $1250.71 on the MacBook. I even received an email on 5/22/14 that my payment had processed successfully. On 5/27/14, with no explanation both of my layaways were cancelled. After repeated phone calls and emails, I finally received an email response that eLayaway was "not able to fulfill the item(s)." I was told that I would receive a refund. To my surprise I was only refunded $1900.96 on the refrigerator and $1200.01 on the MaBook. eLayaway kept $179.20 for layaways that they cancelled. I did not request either item to be cancelled and told them as much in several more phone calls and emails.I received another email from eLayaway stating that they did not charge me a "cancellation fee" but a non-refundable "convenience fee." Despite what you want to call it, I am being charged a fee for a cancellation that they initiated.In no way am I responsible for eLayaway's inability to fulfill their part of the contract. I upheld my end of the contract and made payments, I should therefore be refunded 100% of the money that I paid.Desired Settlement: I would like the balance of $179.20 that I paid eLayaway refunded to me.

Review: I have been trying to contact customer service to cancel my layaway from this site. There is no option to cancel online. So far the advertised hours for live help is a lie. I have sent several emails and life chat requests over a 2 day time period and called a phone number I googled which says it is elayaway. No one replies, no one answers the phone. I am not sure this company still exists since all of its corporate news, facebook and twitter accounts have not been updated for more than a year. I will have to call the bank to stop future payments going to this company but it also states it charges 5 dollars for payments that don't go through, yet since I have no option to cancel payments and can't even determine if this company is still open am not sure how to proceed with this issue.Desired Settlement: To determine if company is still open and how to contact someone.

I was extremely satisfied with elayaway. I was able to purchase ipads for my children for Christmas. When I put them on layaway the price was higher. At the end of my layaway they offered me a refund for the price difference. I was so happy with the program that I just applied the difference to a new layaway. They are VERY helpful!!! I will continue to use this site and have recommended it to several friends.

great service, and communication! I bought a very expensive guitar of my dreams which would not have been possible without elayaway. they are awesome and I highly recommend them.

A year or two back I put a Tiger Direct gift card on layaway at elayaway and everything went smoothly. I really liked my experience. I even recommended them to my daughter so that she could get a smartphone. I would have recommended them to anyone at that time. The last two months I've considered putting a lawn mower on layaway to get ready for next spring. Every time I went to the site, it did not operate with the ease of operation it had before. Everything was easy to find. Piece of cake I'd say. But the last two months or so, I have been unable to find anything at all...NOTHING!

So, one night I thought I'd see if it was something I was doing wrong. As I was reading the info on the site, I thought that now the customer must now be required sign in first. When I went to sign in, I got a privacy error warning from my web browser that the site's certificate was expired. Your connection is not private. "Attackers might be trying to steal your information from app2.elayaway.com" I use Google Chrome so I tried to sign in with IE. Same warning. So I backed out. I tried for several days but continued to get the warning.

I decided to contact their help center and I emailed them my problem. As far as I am concerned the reply was not professional at all. There was no lead in or apology for an inconvenience and nothing personal about the message at all, no name was offered to let me know who I was hearing from. Certainly not a person who is concerned that they are communicating with a potential paying customer.

Simply this: "Hi [redacted],

Having an expired security certificate has nothing to do with data being compromised by hackers. We are trying to resolve the issue."

Now the site doesn't seem to be working at all. Two days ago it at least appeared you could "shop at one of our merchants" even though all it did when I clicked on it was take me right back to the page I was already on.

Just wanted to say, I am very disappointed in elayawaymall.com and will no longer recommend them to anyone.

Review: I have used eLayaway's services for a couple of years now and have never had an issue until recently. I am a member and pay $8.95 per month. The last time I ordered something was November 2013 and I received it with no problem. After that I tried to place several orders and it kept coming up that no merchants were available. I've had this problem for a little over 5 months now. I tried contacting them via live chat and never got a response. I also emailed them and never heard back. They do not accept phone calls and you can't even leave a voice message for them. They only accept emails. Finally, on September 4th I was able to get through and they emailed me back asking what can they do to help me. I stated my complaint and that I wanted to cancel my membership and be reimbursed for the months that I was unable to use their services. They contacted me back on September 5th and stated they cancelled my membership but would not reimburse me for the months I was unable to use their services. I am not happy that I could not speak to a customer service representative or a manager to get this matter resolved to my liking.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the months that I could not use their services, that's about 6 months. I tried several times to place an order and it kept coming up no merchants available.

I placed two separate orders through elayaway and with no explanation they were both cancelled and of course they still keep the processing fees, so now I'm out $40 and I never received a damn thing! I will never trust them again because from my experience they don't follow through and I'm going to make sure everyone I know hears about my experience!! Because they are nothing but scam artist and frauds!!!

I have bought numerous items through Elayaway. I have had nothing but a positive experiance with them. I would highly recommend them.

Review: Got a email end of april 2014 saying my elayaway was cancelled, then may 10th got a email saying there will be a refund because they cannot fulfill the order.then I waited for refund entire month of may, then june 3rd email, said please confirm mailing adress for check to be sent, so I submited it.then email saying next friday from june 3rd check would be sent out, no check still in my mail box.I asked if they can email me when check was sent out, I emailed it on june 4th, I thanked them june 6th.june 11th I asked if it was mailed the last friday, current friday or future friday, no email reply back and I tried to call, machine said or automatic answering service said please email us, when I call there phone number. I think they stole my refund check, takes 8 weeks to get back to it, also there website says they refuse the right to a refund at there discrection, in my opinion thats a form of legallizing stealing peoples money.it was a good company at one time now its utter garbage.Sincerely~[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the refund they said they would send to me.Sincerely~[redacted]
