I had rented a vehicle from Enterprise Rent A Car back in and a guy hit the vehicle (at the time my room-mate was driving the rented vehicle) while he was passing from a curve on while crossing a double yellow line This company ELCO took the claim and advised me that I owed them $35?.?? I paid them what they said I owed through Enterprise Rent A Car
Now September 1, I was contacted and told I owed Enterprise Rent A Car over $and the accident occurred almost years ago
I asked them to mail me the documents that I owed them $and proof of any payments I made *** said the file had been destroyed and the only thing the have was their computer notesI advised him that the friend who was driving could verify the payment was made in the amount I was told to pay, and he said "We will not accept that as proof, you need to go to your bank and obtain proof"
So ELCO has me against a wall, either I pay the amount they want or I am on a rental car black list
How is this right, they say something and its so?

We are not an insurer or an insurance company. [redacted] is responding to the above referenced complaint that was sent to ELCO Administrative Services Company. This automobile accident occurred on December 9, 2015. The claim was reported to [redacted] on December 11, 2015. The claim was reported with no phone number for the Complainant, Mr. [redacted]. The handling adjuster sent a contact letter via mail, to the address listed for Mr. [redacted]. We had received no response from the Complainant, at the time we received your inquiry. We were able to obtain the Complainant's phone number from your inquiry letter. The Complainant was contacted on December 30, 2015. Mr. [redacted] was informed that we had accepted liability for the accident and that resolution of his claim would be concluded upon receipt of the repair estimate for his vehicle damages. Mr. [redacted] advised that he would have his body shop forward us same.
