In response to *** *** complaint For Date of Service 04/**/there was a $copay due for the Auditory Test (CPT 92587)This copay was applied by the patient's insurance company (Americhoice United healthcare) and we are legally required to collect itWe mailed the patient a total of
statements to date in order to collect the balanceWe have been in practice for over years and have never defrauded any patient and/or insuranceWe do not have another patient with the same nameAll phone calls received are documented by the staff and we have no record of any phone call from this patientAny phone call received is handled with professionalism and courtesy, alwaysThe patient visited the office on 01/**/for routine screeningWe submitted a claim to the patient's insurance carrier (Americhoice United healthcare) for the services renderedWe submitted the code *** for reporting purposes only, to report that the patient was referred for mammogram, as per insurance guidelinesWe are not a Radiology CenterThe patient was never billed or asked to pay for a balance related to mammogram screeningWe apologize for any misunderstanding with *** ***Our billing is handled in a professional and efficient manner

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I do not dispute the date of service.What I am disputing is the charge of co-pay because the doctor was my primary doctor and my insurance (AARP MedicareComplete United Healthcare Mosaic) has no co-pay for PCP. I do not and never had (Americhoice United healthcare).This is again what I find unprofessional because I've repeatedly shown my card to them and never paid a co-pay last year. As for the mammogram, yes, I was charged for a mammogram at the office even though they are not a radiology office. My insurance was billed for one.I have copies of what my insurance was billed for by this doctor. I reported this to my insurance and they later were refunded the money they paid.If they want to dispute that happened,then I'll show them I have papers to prove it.Why would I waste my time with these people if I did not? I want this resolved.They need to look at their records and fix this because I will have them audit by the state.
