I want to thank the members of Elder Care Financial Resources for providing my father with crucial information which as been vital to his financial well being My father is a Korean War veteran and recently suffered a series of strokes which required him to move into a nursing care facility Needless to say, the financial burden is immense and devastating
Here is a little background My wife and I attended a seminar, which was advertised in a local paper, held by the local representative of E.C.F.Rwhere we met the team members and they presented a short presentation on the Aid & Attendance veteran’s benefit We were very skeptical because my father is in veterans only certified nursing care facility, and we were totally unaware of A&AI took their advice and researched both E.C.F.R., and confirmed with the nursing facility that Aid & Attendance was an actual benefit which veterans may qualify to receive At this point, we decided to take a blind leap of faith
We scheduled a private conference with the E.C.F.Rlocal affiliate to discuss our family’s situation Team members listened to us, and worked with us throughout the entire process; including filling out the complicated VA forms (we just provided the needed information) They continue to answer questions and provide guidance to this day
Words can not express our gratitude to the Elder Care Financial Resources team for their assistance, patience and attention to detail My only regret is that we did not meet sooner!

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of appreciation in behalf of Elder Care Financial Resources and the wonderful service providedNever before had I been faced with insurmountable and quite daunting tasks that required immediate attention
My father passed away in February and it quickly became evident that my mother would have difficulty acclimating to this loss while trying to maintain her property and financesA neighbor that I grew up with decades ago attended the funeral visitation and suggested that I contact Elder Care for consultation since her family endured similar circumstances and needed expertise a few years before
Elder Care was receptive when I called and quickly scheduled an initial consultation visitWith many unexpected tasks at hand with my family, the Elder Care staff was proficient in alleviating my apprehensions and offered an immediate plan of actionwas not aware that my mother was eligible for a supplemental Veterans pension from my father's service in the NavyThe guidance and expertise provided were instrumental in assisting me in multi-tasking between the stringent demands of my family at the time and minimizing the time off away from workWith the expertise and guidance of Elder Care, I was able to move assets into a more productive financial environment that ensuring longevity of my mother's care
I found that even though Veterans Administration offers a supplemental pension, it is very difficult for an individual to achieve the benefit through a simple application without assistance from a knowlegable resourceThe VA qualification process is an arduous and time consuming process requiring a plethora of government forms often times conferring with the IRSThe diligence of the staff at Elder Care sliced through months of governmental red tape and lag time
I am pleased that the VA has started regular monthly deposits that help with my mother's care and independence at a senior assisted living facilityIn addition, the VA will retroactively credit proceeds for the months ensuing during the lengthy application processI would never have been able to successfully complete the process without the help of Elder Care
