Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 12, 2016/01/05) */ To Whom it Concerns: We have talked with the above homeowner several timesHe has paid $of a $contractThe homeowner states that the insurance company must pay his deductible This constitutes Insurance fraudWe will most likely be seeking legal adviseThank you, [redacted] Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 13, 2016/01/05) */ I disagree with Elder 1's responseAs I mentioned earlier, as per contract, Elder should install Drip Edge/ Ice & Water Shield along with roofSince Elder have not completed this job, insurance company is withholding this paymentElder also wrongfully claimed to my insurance company that they have completed Drip Edge/ Ice & Water Shield installed to my roof

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2015/05/02) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Sales Manager Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @***1contracting.net We have decided the best option will be to schedule a Revdex.com arbitrationWe have fulfilled all of our contractual obligations in a professional manorOur attempts to eliminate complaints before they happen, by doing extra drywall, getting insulated garage doors vs non insulated, and completing separate "punch lists" at the customers requestNow we have all new complaints, that were never brought up until the time of collection of final payment Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 14, 2015/05/06) */ ***Document Attached [redacted] wrote the contract and then only showed up to collect paymentsHe doesn't know what went on here [redacted] only showed up on site times for a total of about minutesHe would not return phone calls or write anything down, so he doesn't know what went on here [redacted] was here on a regular basis; he is the one who made verbal agreements with usHe got fired from the job [redacted] (the part time worker) showed up at odd hours and only worked part of the day but got things done at his own pace The mistake about the siding was brought up with [redacted] the day after the siding started going on the houseIt also states in the contract that the siding will have white offset (corners, jay channel) [redacted] mentioned bringing in the dirt, however it would not have even been needed if the foundation had been back-filled properlyWhen you dig a hole then add concrete, you have extra dirtThis is something a contractor should knowHad [redacted] sent his guys over with proper equipment to back fill; this extra dirt could have been brought around to the front to back-fill around the new driveway and sidewalkAsk ANY contractor and they will say that back filling is part of the jobElder sent over guys with shovels and rakes to do this jobThis is after the secretary told me they'd be there bright and early with a loaderThey did NOT complete the back fill around the new sidewalk and driveway we did this ourselvesThey did NOT even try to fix all the ruts in the yard left by their equipmentThe loader showed up late in the day to load the pile of rock that Elder left and move the cut tree I have emails that I sent to the office which clearly mention the doors and the dirt, these are not new complaintsI started sending emails because [redacted] does not answer the phone or return phone callsAnd when messages were left at the office, he somehow didn't get themI have a voice mail that [redacted] left less than hours after Elderdecided they were finishedHe threatened me with a lawsuit if I didn't pay him by the next dayAs far as the extra drywall, I am not sure what they are referring toThey put up more sheets to finish a wall, which they were happy with leaving unfinishedInsulated doors? I never asked for insulated doorsWhat good are insulated doors without an insulated garage? The only "punch" lists I gave were in the emailsThese are things that should have been fixed without me even saying anything This company does not work in a professional manner starting at the very beginning with contract writingFor [redacted] to reply to this complaint is a jokeThere is a complete lack of communication throughout Elder For them to maintain an A+ rating with the Revdex.com would be undermining the whole purpose of the Revdex.comPeople look here when thinking about hiring a contractor because they don't want to deal with unprofessional contractors

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The response is not entirely accurate regarding the lack of communication and delay in resolution The owner Terry Elder called my husband after we filed this complaint and was terribly rude, offensive, used profanity and called my husband names My husband called the Revdex.com with the case number to have the unprofessional call be recorded for this file The response to your complaint was not professionally handled by the business owner of this company and we are appalled by the call received from Terry Elder We have finally settled the bill with the salesman and paid the balance in full I NEVER want to hear from Terry Elder again His call to my husband was borderline harassment and offered NO resolution to the problem Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: First thing is first, how dare this business allow someone to just show up at my house un-announcedTwo weeks prior to them just showing up at my house on July 28th, there was 1phone call and 1text that was received by ***Which I was on vacation so that is why I did not respondNo other attempt was made, than they just show up at my houseThey are lucky I did not have my children home at the time, that would be a whole other issueDo they know that extortion is illegal? Not only after that, I received very rude, insulting text messages later that evening and phone callhis hour conversation that I had Friday night with them solved nothing [redacted] was not understanding what I was telling him [redacted] verbally told me and what I understood the whole timeNot to mention, they told me "there is no way to tell the decking is bad until we get the shingles off" which is untrue...proof being, the contract was signed on May 18th(supposably not knowing the decking needed to be done) but however, funny that the invoice for the decking was typed up on May 18th!!!! So if you "had no idea the decking was bad" why the heck would you already order the material for it prior to the job starting???? And there is barely any decking on my roof...maybe 1/of the roof has it done and your trying to tell me it's over $1000? There are multiple things wrong with this jobMy intention of my complaint is not that Im mad jobs were promised for a certain amount verbally, but that your telling me I owe more money for just one job being completedTwo of my family members got their roof done through Elderand their contracts and pricing is totally different(shingles, labor, whatever, not the total job)There was multiple inappropriate things that were said Friday night, I have two other witnesses to prove itAnd my response is that [redacted] came to my house, seeing I was alone and either doesn't know how to do his job or take advantage of me because I had no idea what to do with this being my first time with anything like thisHe told me items would get completed, which did not, I have emails to office lady asking about them evenSo after Eldercontacted my insurance company to get the additional funds for the job, which is a little over almost $and this is where [redacted] either doesn't know how to do his job or [redacted] me overBecause the total amount on the contract is verbally what he told me I was signing for EVERYTHING to be completedNot just the roofIf I didn't think any other job wasn't getting completed I wouldn't have sent an email asking when they would get doneIm not sure how any of this works, so I thought I could trust them and know that they know what their doingBut apparently notI do not feel that I owe this money for a job that from the get go was a rip off and that $is plenty of money to get a roof done and 1/of decking completedAnd now especially how Friday night went....they are out of their mind if they think I want ANYTHING further to do with them other than to get this bill squashed and not have to owe this $they seem to think I oweI will be letting every one know about my experience here and the inappropriate behavior I received Sincerely, [redacted]

I just wanted to clarify that I could care less about what was promised to me, I care that they take ownership for the prices and conversation by their employeeIt's very clear that something was said to me about a price and on paper and now after the job is complete it's a problemI don't care about the other things not getting done, but I won't be held responsible for an extra $that is not my faultNot to mention, I want it very known, and something done about those two guys showing up at my house unannounced and uninvited Friday night and the insulting comments and messages I received

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/09/20) */ We signed a contract with [redacted] on 4-26-to install GAF Timberline shingles to the [redacted] home & a small shed roof, and to install 5' seamless gutters with over-sized x downspouts to home onlyContract stated to start any time after May 18th, We received $6,from [redacted] Insurance CompanyWe charged $to upgrade from 3- tab yrshingles to limited lifetime Architectural shingles, and $to upgrade the 2Xdownspouts to 3XThe roof was started and completed on May 19th The gutters and downspouts where completed on June 3rd, Ms [redacted] called on June 4th and stated that the downspouts were wrong, and that the gutters were not pitched to her satisfactionI told Ms [redacted] that we would be there the following day to fix the problemMs [redacted] stated that her son would do the downspouts and I could just credit the $off her balance On June 5th 2014, Ms [redacted] paid the balance of $4,and signed a completion stating that she was satisfied with her jobThe week of June 15th Ms [redacted] called the office and reported that she had a leak in the kitchen, and the drywall had fell down during the nightI assured the home owner that we would fix itI sent a second roofing crew out to find and fix the leakRuben, a GAF Certified Roofer, came back and told me that the shingles had been pullthrough the nailsThe following day I went out to the damagesMs [redacted] stated that the drywall had, "fell from ceiling"There was a spot on the drywall that was smaller than a 3" circleI was handed a piece of paper stating that they wanted $2,to repair those damagesHer son would fix the drywall himselfTo stay in good graces, I paid her the exact amount, (to fix the area that her son tore up) as the Insurance Company would have paid a company being sent to do the repairsThat amount came to a payment of $Ms [redacted] is very short tempered and has cussed at me several timesI have been to her home times, and have never seen a leakShe has told my office that another "roofer" said that her siding should come downWe have done everything possible to make this customer understandMs [redacted] doesn't listen, she screams over the top of youMs [redacted] has been given back almost a $1,off her contract amount, simply because I couldn't prove that her and her son had made the roof leak I have pictures that show no water stains on the plywood, trusses, or the drywall that her son tore outThe step flashing that she wants replaced has never leakedWhen I asked her why the roof didn't leak from the time it was finished, and the 1/weeks before the final payment, she told me it had not rainedWe had substantial rain during that periodThis is documented by NOAA.GOVI will not go back to Ms [redacted] home without a B.B.B ArbitratorI will make myself available to with the arbitrator at their convenienceThank you for your help with this matter Sincerely, [redacted] ***
