Elderplan, Inc.

Review: I am in need of home modifications to my bathroom related to a documented long term illness, and requested services from Elderplan for these modifications. Elderplan denied the request for these modifications. I retained an attorney for a fair hearing appeal with the New York State Department of Health. The presiding commissioner found in my favor and overturned the denial of services, issuing a "Decision and Order" directing Elderplan "to approve and provide the (applicant) with bathroom modifications." Furthermore, the order directed that "as required by [redacted], the Agency (Elderplan) must comply immediately with the directives."

Despite this ruling of 7/*/15, Elderplan is continuing to refuse to provide the directed services.Desired Settlement: I would like Elderplan to provide the services in my health plan contract and directed by the New York State Department of Health as noted above.
