Dear Representative of Revdex.com: On behalf of Eldorado Stone, LLC, I am responding to a recent customer complaint submitted to Revdex.com on April 26, (ID ***)Eldorado Stone is a manufacturer of adhered manufactured stone veneer productsThese products are concrete which is poured into rubber molds
and colored with iron oxide pigments to replicate the appearance and durability of natural stone veneerIt is noted that Eldorado Stone products are sold through a series of independent distributors and dealersFurthermore, neither Eldorado Stone or its dealer/distributor are responsible for the installation of the stone veneerIn the complaint letter, the customer states that the product received at his residence had various production dates ranging from through and, consequently, an unacceptable variation in colorThe client also complained of delays in delivery of the stone veneer to his residential addressThe second phase of the complaint involved the potential presence of mold on the adhered stone veneer unitsAt some time after the installation of the stone veneer was completed, Eldorado Stone Customer Service received a phone call from the client at which time the dark color and mold issues were expressedIn response, Eldorado sent a Service Technician to the customer’s residence for the purpose of reviewing the problemsThe Technician indicated that some extra stones deemed too dark were set aside (not installed); secondly, on at least one box, some mold was present on the inside of the lidThe technician reported the stone appearance on the wall appeared fine and normalIt was also noted that no mold was apparent on either the installed stone or the extra stoneDuring this visit, the customer’s aggressive approach made the Eldorado Stone representative uncomfortable and upsetDuring this discussion, it was agreed that Eldorado Stone’s dealer would credit the customer the amount of the extra stoneLater that day, the agreed upon credit was applied to the customer’s credit cardFollowing this visit, Eldorado’s representative contacted me and recommended that I call the client to further address his concernsI called the customer and listened to the two complaints as well as the problem associated with the delay in product deliveryI asked the customer about the quality of the finished, installed product and the level of satisfactionThe customer expressed satisfaction with the stone veneer but indicated some disappointment with the installation in that “some areas are not levelI committed to refund $in recognition of the disappointment associated with the delay of delivery and I agreed to send the Eldorado representative back to clean the stone veneer in the event there is some unrecognized mold on the stone unitsThe customer verbally approved this plan and agreed to provide access to the home for this purposeI was surprised when shortly later I received an email from the customer suggesting that Eldorado Stone not visit his propertyInstead, the customer demanded we not contact him further, but asked the identity of the cleaner to be usedThe customer wrote: “Do Not come to the house and Do Not Call, I have had enough of Eldorado StonePeriodGive me the Name of the product, send it to me or NotI do not want any further contact with Eldorado stone, I hope that is clearI will find another assistance elsewhere”At this time, in an attempt to meet the customer’s latest request, I sent an email recommending a cleaning agentAs a result of this action I was again scolded via email for contacting the customerThe customer wrote: “WHAT PART OF DO NOT CONTACT ME, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?” Eldorado Stone collectively made the agreement to halt further communication with this customer, at his request“Do Not come to the house and Do Not Call, I have had enough of Eldorado StonePeriodGive me the Name of the product, send it to me or NotI do not want any further contact with Eldorado stone, I hope that is clearI will find another assistance elsewhere.” The customer never accepted our cash offer nor our offer to clean the stone veneerAt this time, we revoke all prior offers and respect the customer’s demand to halt all contactFurther, we are not comfortable sending an employee or a contractor to this residence due to the distinct possibility of being subjected to verbal and potential physical abuseRespectfully, *** *** Director of Technical Sales Headwaters *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

Hello;
Sorry to say these are just more delays and lies and
half-truths by Eldorado Stone, periodAs they use legal jargon such as "we
will help you as a courtesy" ;
Did Eldorado Stone
sell 2017, 2016, and product as
"new material" YesWas the Old material broken prior to delivery, Yes. Was the outdated material different in color,
Yes, just by the nature of the product.
Did the Product have Mold on it, YesWas Eldorado Stone notified that
the stone has mold on it, yesHas anything at all been done to clean the Mold,
NOAll the rest is just Eldorado Stone's way of delaying and avoiding the
problem; weather by lies and half-truths or story telling of an Evil GiantI
am a Lung cancer survivor, I can't even bend over without losing my breath, and
why would they not expect a person to be mad; when they have done nothing but
lie? These are just Sad little minded "salesmen" using their company size get
away with Fraud and an environmental issue, using any means to sweep the issue
away
When I purchased the stone, I was told it would be there
either that week or the next Friday depending on the truck scheduledays later
it arrived; this may Eldorado Stone's idea of great service but it would be
just another one of their stories, and yes they were informed of the delivery
issues, and I have the e-mails
The Eldorado Stone "Technician" is a "Sales Representative"
according to his Business card; maybe, he just gave me the wrong card; maybe he
has as many as Eldorado Stones excusesI do not knowJorge carried boxes of
sample to the door; before, even introducing himselfWhat was the samples for
other than to start a argument over the outdated material being a different
color, what other intent could there have been? He only looked at a few stones,
asked if I installed them and if I owned the house and if I was a contractor
Does this sound like a reasonable start to a Health or environmental issue?
Please do not slander me; I did Not sale Moldy materialHe was the aggressor
Again, he looked at a couple stones took pictures of some clean stones (what a
surprise) and didn't ask where the infected stone may beHe said they would
give me credit for the Broken stones, and the old material; which, he said he
would like to give me replacements; which, I disagreed too because, the Mold
issue wasn't dealt withHe said they would clean the stone,;Which, they have
Not DoneI was given a credit that he and [redacted] claimed to be two different
amounts then wanted to argue with me over the discrepancy, as if I had any say
in that matterI was given a credit on some of the OLD material they sold as
new, Borken pieces they sold as whole, discolored pieces from they sold as
new, They didn't Give me anything, yet seem to believe that they are
Hero's ??? and this should be enough and
forget the Mold?
I asked to have the product sent so I may do it, he said
he'd need to ask: Because, Chemicals that kill Mold will be of an Acid type,
and the color on the stone would be ruined, periodThis is the Whole point of
the Revdex.com complaint[redacted] then called me and became extremely Rude over
the fact that I wished to have the product sent to me so I be involved in the
cleaning, after sever; time with the same questioning I asked how he was going
to contain the overflow of the cleaning fluid; rudely he asked why would you
contain it; "because, it's a chemicalHe then asked how I was going to contain
it and refused to send the product and told me to just Go to the local Home
depot or Lowes and pick up something
This is just another of Eldorado Stone's stories as me being
a Evil Giant. The reason I did not want
him or his sales rep on my property is because they are the aggressors, and
three times I said to not have [redacted] or Jorge contact me, and the refuse and
kept harassing me; until, I wrote to the Parent company, Period; which, I am
including the e-mailAs to the conversation about the stone being level, I
explained to [redacted], that I was indeed disappointed at the stone not being
completely level, However, despite at Salesman twist to the event our phone
conversation indicated that a person would need to purchase a mile of stone
,just to have enough stone to select the correct pieces to have a perfect level
line or purchase a sheet type veneer stone and the their website show the
pictures of perfect level stone; which, is a bit misleading, along with the
fact they do not show the size of stone accurately nor have samples of the
larger pieces to show consumers. The bottom
line is, We did are do diligence selecting the stone, the Eldorado customer
service was great, they responded to several e-mails requesting info on
installation, materials, capstone and all my inquiries, they did their jobs
without lies and slanderI still have the e-mails including the web design
site, the video sites
I have contacted Enough people at Eldorado Stone and the
parent company Headwaters, and do have sufficient cause to be upset, so much in
fact I have reported them to the EPA and other environmental agencies, whom are
involved in this issue, expecting my return signature on my statements
Eldorado Stone Knows there is Mold , they sold it and is Simply NOT doing anything
about an environment problem they have caused, Period. These are just a few of the people I have
e-mails [redacted], Headwater hotline, S.[redacted], M.[redacted], slograsso and
there are more
If Eldorado Stone intended to do anything about an
environmental issue they caused; why would they not simply just send a cleaner
as requested, they see the mold and admit to it?

Our offer to come to the residence in question and perform a cleaning operation on the stone veneer is open.  This offer has been previously rejected by the homeowner.  Eldorado Stone prefers to perform the cleaning rather than burden the homeowner with this task.  although we have cleaned installed stone veneer in the past, the claim that the stone has mold is new and unique.  Consequently, the cleaning task is new and unique.  We would use safe chemicals currently available at retailers for the purpose of cleaning mold.At this time, despite the lack of evidence or signs of mold on the stone units, we maintain our offer to clean the stone veneer. However, we are concerned about the treatment the homeowner would provide to an Eldorado Stone employee that would visit the property to perform the cleaning.  If we can obtain assurances that no harassment would be encountered, our offer still applies.  In the past, the homeowner demanded we cease all contact with him.  We did.The alleged color issue has been resolved to the homeowner's satisfaction and reimbursement for broken and alleged discolored stones was immediately made.  The homeowner agreed that stone installation was acceptable with the exception of a "straightness" problem.  This straightness issue is not related to Eldorado Stone and is not a stone quality issue but is related to the failure of the installer to properly install the stone veneer.   If the homeowner wishes to replace the stone veneer, this straightness issue must be addressed with the installer.  Eldorado Stone is not responsible for poor installation results and is not accepting responsibility in any form or format for this straightness problem.
