Review: I bought a light fixture form Electra Lighting. Unfortunately, fixture selected was not available in a factory box. Sales person convinced me to buy a floor example. When I tried to install light fixture at home, I realized that set is incomplete. It was impossible to install with available hardware. When I tried to return merchandise 2 days later, store person refused to take it back and refund my money. At the end, he did not even help to get right hardware for fixture installation.Desired Settlement: I paid in cash and would like a full refund.

Review: On May 27, 2014, I decided to stop at Electra Lighting in North Huntingdon, PA, as I was approaching the store because my husband and I recently purchased an older home that has an older chandelier with light covers that had melted. I figured since the place had been there for a long time, they would know what I was looking for. The owner was quite helpful and found me covers in a catalog that I liked and placed an order for me. I wrote him a check and gave it to him. He told me they would be in two weeks. He cashed the check that day. A little over two weeks later, I looked up the phone number online to call the place because no one answered the phone number printed on the receipt, and there wasn't even voicemail. This is when I discovered that taking people's money and never supplying the product they ordered is this guy's mantra. Online, it also shows that the business is closed and an article from WPXI Channel 11 states that he was ordered by a judge in 2009 from keeping people's money when they did not receive a product from him. I stopped in next with my husband. [redacted] actually tried to get us to put money down on new lights. He told me it would be another two weeks for my chandelier covers because they were "coming by freight." In two weeks, I stopped back, noticing before he appeared that the back phone was off the hook, and this time he told me he would "fax the company and ask what was going on." I told him to call me as soon as he heard back from them, giving him one more chance. Of course, I also knew it was odd that he said he would "fax them" and not simply call or email. Since then, I stopped again, and he was closed. Of course, I never heard back from him. Today, August 5, 2014, I stopped in. The phone was again off the hook. By now, he knows who I am, and [redacted] said, "Light covers, right?" I responded, "Yes." He replied, "It will be a couple more weeks because the company is out of stock." That's when I demanded my money back, and he refused.Desired Settlement: This scam artist has been operating for years! I want a check for $29.40, the cost of the light covers. Thank goodness I didn't put down money for the Tiffany light or other products I considered. His business should also be shuttered for good, and he should be required to get some personal help or counseling but not at taxpayers expense.

Review: Ordered 4 light shades for a ceiling fan on 7/13/13. Paid 58.30 by check. Was told by owner that he was placing an order that day. Was told shades would be in a couple of weeks. Called 9/14/13 to check on status of my order. Was told another 2 weeks. It's now 10/5/13 and still no light shades. I want my money back!Desired Settlement: I want the $58.30 that I paid by check on 7/13/13 returned.

Review: Ordered Ceiling Lamp on 09/28 and were orally informed we would have merchandise "well before thanksgiving". Company would not take a credit card and sent us up the street to Citizen's Bank to use ATM. Indicated needed a large deposit because store would be required to give one to vendor because our order would be handmade. Gave $340 in cash.Waited until first weekend in December and called. were told that the company had just realized the order was overdue and were checking on it. would get back to us. Did not, we called again about 4 days later and were told the order was complete and was enroute to the store and we would be notified upon delivery. Heard nothing, called again 12/21 and were told order was complete but the company that made the lamp would only deliver in Pittsburgh area when it made sense for their trucks route or they had sufficient orders to justify delivery. We said that did not make sense and asked for contact name/number of lamp maker. Owner hung up on us. When we called back he assured us it would be delivered within a week. It has been 3 more weeks and have heard nothing. Phone not answering now when we call.Desired Settlement: we want our lamp or our $340 back.

Review: I purchased a light fixture from:ELECTRA LIGHTING [redacted] This transaction was made on April 4th 2014 through salesman and store owner [redacted]. This item was not currently in stock and would need to be ordered, a payment upfront was needed to have the transaction enacted.The current date is August 3, 2014, after multiple (request/and thus demands) over these past 4 months of requesting the product or my money back, Mr. [redacted] has refused to present either. EXCUSES such as IT WILL BE IN NEXT WEEK or WE HAVE TO ORDER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PRODUCT, FOR DISTRIBUTER TO DELIVER were stated multiple times which eventually became ridiculous to the fullest extent of its definition. After a 4 months time I have given well enough opportunity for Mr. [redacted] to produce product or refund. I NOW DEMAND ONE OR THE OTHER! Mr. [redacted] stated that there is a no refund policy, the policy was never explained during purchase nor printed on the invoice, in fact Mr. [redacted] has refused to present any such literature at all upon repeated demands, and thus going as far as stating that he has the very right to refuse any such request being the fact he is store owner.After 4 months I feel I have been very tolerant to this situation, and have given ELECTRA LIGHTING ample time to produce either product or refund. I am asking intervention from the Revdex.com to facilitate and expedite these proceeding which have gone on for far too long. Thank youDesired Settlement: I NOW DEMAND ONE OR THE OTHER, PRODUCT OR REFUND!

Review: dropped off 700.00 stained glass pitt pool table light to be repaired on 09/20/2012. I have not gotten the light back. made numourous phone calls with no results.Desired Settlement: light back or 700.00 dollars

Review: Ordered a ceiling fan on 5/16/14 from Mr. [redacted], owner of Electra Lighting. The following day, 5/17/14, my husband went to Electra Lighting and told Mr. [redacted] he wanted to cancel the order. My husband asked for our check back and was told the check wasn't there, it was with his accounting firm. My husband went to the business establisment the following week and still could not get our check back. Went back to Electra Lighting on 5/30/14 and was told we would have to be patient and wait 2 more weeks for our check.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of the $206.70 which I paid Mr. [redacted], and which he cashed on 5/19/14 per my bank statement.

Review: Ordered two lamp shades on June 14, 2014 and can not contact owner Mr. [redacted]. Telephone constantly busy, FAX does not go through. He wanted me to pay cash $127.20. I did not have that much money on me so I gave $32.00 deposit. He did not take debit or credit cards. I do not believe he ordered the lamp shades and took my money. I have a receipt showing the deposit. Being I can not contact this business, I would like a refund of $32.00.Desired Settlement: I would like proof that the owner ordered the lamp shades. He said it would not take that long to get the shades delivered. It is going on 4 weeks. I would like a refund.
