This is the response to the
complaint written by Christine *** regarding the condo at *** ** *** ***. Ms*** entered into a
contract with the seller *** *** *** *** to purchase the condo and
subsequently closed on the purchase on December 5th 2014.
Any complaint that she has should be
directed to the seller of the real estate. Issue #sewage backup in
basement floor drainThe plumbing contractor came back
right away and ran an auger down the floor drain and discovered baby wipes and
excessive toilet paper in the line. The
plumber also did hire a camera scope of the sewer line and found no other
problems. The City of New Berlin sewer
department also came out to the property to inspect the sewer lateral and found
nothing wrong. Issue #Driveway and sidewalkConcrete flatwork is subject to
several natural changes such as shrinkage, settling, cracking, scaling and the
natural freeze and thaw cycle of the winter months. Pitting, scaling or spalling can occur when
salts or chemicals are applied to the concrete surface for ice and snow removal
or drop from a car onto the concrete surface.
The damage to Ms***’s driveway was caused from salt and/or chemical
applications over the last three winters since she has owned the condo. *** *** *** *** is not
responsible any settling or deterioration of the driveway or sidewalk caused by
salt, chemicals, plowing equipment or other factors beyond their control
