In regards to complaint [redacted], first let me start by saying the previous owner of the house had been a customer of mine for 20 years. I provided central station monitoring for his alarm system. The monitoring fees are billed yearly and we monitor the system for a year and if you want to continue...

you pay the bill, if you don't all I ask is that the customer inform me. There are no multi year locked in contracts. I bill annually to keep monthly price very low. There were 2 months left on his yearly bill. I offer no refunds for early termination. initially, I never spoke to [redacted]. All my conversations were with her husband [redacted]. I got a call from [redacted] and made arrangements to go out to her house and show them how to use the system and test the system to the central station. I gave him a lesson and he gave me all the information I needed to switch the central station monitoring into his name such as contact info, cell phone #'s and passwords. I informed him that there was 2 months left on the former owner's annual bill and that I would give him that free of charge and start billing him fore the next year of monitoring in 2 months which I did and he agreed. As far as telling them their alarm system didn't meet code that is totally false. First, I have been installing alarm systems for 40 years and have never tried to up sell anyone of my customers. The reason I know that I never said the system doesn't meet code is because there are no codes for burglar alarm systems-you buy what gives you peace of mind. So in closing, I ask why would I go to a person's home and show them how to use their alarm system, test the system, change over paperwork for central station monitoring, give them 2 months of monitoring all for free if they didn't agree to continue the monitoring for the next year. I believe the only mistake I made was not sending a past due invoice in a timely fashion and for that I apologize. although she claims that she never got a bill that does not mean she does not owe the money.
