I used my AC in September and shut It off until the end of June after I got back from vacation when I reported the warm air I never used it back in April may or June since I was gone most of June on business and vacation Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Once again, I reject your response to my complaintYoucontinue to insist that I called for service due to the air conditioner notoperating properly (not cooling adequately)I indicated at the time of my callthat I thought the de-humidifier was the issueThe air conditioning system WAS working and cooling theentire houseI find it hypocritical that you are willing to accept the accountof the third party service man in regards to his statement that it’s possiblethat the compressor could malfunction, but you conveniently neglected to acknowledgethat he also indicated that it was “highly improbable and very unlikely thatsuch an occurrence would happen at just that precise moment”You also state“We would have to disregard any 3rd party information in regards toour workmanship as you have not provided any documentation showing thistechnicians (sic) findings and his credentials.” You can’t have it bothways Nonetheless, this reputableservice man physically presented to me the poor workmanshipHe restored it toprofessional standards and did not charge me for itI repeat, he did notcharge for re-doing the shoddy work of your certified HVAC technicianNot allservice repair businesses operate on the model of WAP, and in your own words,to “capitalize on an opportunity”.You claim you offered the best solution to solving my airconditioning “problem”For you perhaps, because in each misdiagnosed instanceit cost me more moneySimply put – the fact is I had a functioning airconditioning unit on August 5th prior to your “professionals”working on my unit and after giving your company nearly $2,I had NO air conditioning and youwanted even more of my hard earned money with no guarantee that your next guesswould fix itYour ultimate solution was to replace the entire unit in arelatively new homeThis is a great resolution for you but not so wonderfulfor meMore money goes into your pocket, more out of mineWhat truly isbothersome is that, absolutely nowhere in your responses do you offer anapology or attest to any financial risk (cash only transactions), incompetence, responsibility oraccountability, only the profound diagnosis and mantra “things happen” by yourten year “certified HVAC technician”.In conclusion, I am very disappointed in your replyIbelieve my request for a $1,refund is very rationalSince you do notbelieve that WAP is responsible for the escalating “repair” costs of myfunctioning air conditioning unit and you “have done everything possible withinreason to satisfy” me, I will explore other options in regards to settling thisissue if you do not consider my request reasonableIn the interim I will besure to alert my friends and many others of your business methods and conduct Regards, [redacted]

The customer called our office to schedule for the free air conditioning check up that they are entitled to with the service agreement they purchased with our company The customer stated when he scheduled the call that the air conditioner was working but not properly We went to the home on Saturday 8-1-and did the free inspection which at that time our technician found a leaking suction valve on the condensing unit which was causing the system to produce less air flow in the house Had this valve not been replaced eventually the system would have not produced any cold air at all to the home so the system at some point (days) would have quit working all together We called the customer on Monday 8-3-15, and gave them the price on what it would cost to replace the valve and the customer agreed and we did the workWe were contacted back by the customer on 8-6-stating that they were still not getting cold air, at that time we sent a technician out who then found there was an additional problem with the compressor, so we gave the customer a price on replacing that and did the work Being the suction valve was leaking refrigerant we were unable to test for any further problems until we got that up and running With furnaces and air conditioners sometimes until you get one part up and running you cannot properly test other components of the system to know of any further problems with other partsWe provide all warranty information to the customer on the invoice which I have enclosed copies of the contracts with this email Per the back of the invoice all workmanship has a day warranty and parts all have different warranties which are specified on each invoice based on the call The customer was still having an issue with the air conditioner after we put the compressor in and our technician spoke to the manufacturer's technical support line and it was determined he would also need a txv valve installed as well The customer declined to have this additional part done We did want to receive payment in cash rather than check being some customers then feel they will just stop the payment and not pay for the additional work, this has happened to our company before and we were just trying to avoid the situation from occuring again Prior to getting the compressor it was suggested to the customer that they may also want to consider the option of replacing the unit rather than investing money for these parts, the customers reply was who would put in a new system in August We gave the customer all prices up front before doing any work, gave a second option of replacing the unit rather than to keep investing money with parts, offered the customer our lowest prices possible for the repairs, and did the best we could with the situation we were dealing with We unfortunately are unable to restore the unit back to the condition it was in when we first arrived on 8/1/2015, as I stated before it was just a matter of time (days) before the system would have went down completely being it was losing refrigerant We cannot remove parts that are already installed the parts are now used and cannot be returned as well as the labor time is already done All the parts that were installed were necessary We would be willing to talk with the customer about a significant price reduction on a new system if they are interested in going that route, or can negotiate a lesser price for the txv valve We try our best to satisfy all customers as best as possible and would be willing to do whatever necessary within reason to come to a solution

We were called to this customers home 9/1/for their free annual air conditioning inspection, at that time the customer did state the air was blowing warm We tested freon levels and it was short on freon and weadded the necessary amountThe customers system was working fine and we did not hear of any problems from them until 7/7/ So the air conditioner worked fine the month of September, October, April, May, June, and up until July 7th when the customer called us (this would be the time frame a customer would use their air conditioner, excluding the colder months, and we had some hot days in the month of June) We are not liable for the deterioration that occurred to the coil from 9/1/2016-7/7/ If you have any further questions we can be reached at 724-864-

I apologize that you are dissatisfied with our response We stand firmly behind that our technician had no responsibility for the malfunctions of your air conditioner, as stated many times the suction valve was leaking which was causing you to lose refrigerant, which was causing your house to not cool properly With in a short time (probably days), you would have lost all the refrigerant to your system and it wouldn't have worked at all Our notes on the call were that you called to schedule for your free air conditioning check up that you are entitled to with the service plan you have with our company, and that your air conditioner was working but not properly, you were not getting adequate air flow I find it very hard to believe that anyone from a professional licensed company would come out and do free work unless they were a relative or friend You have provided no type of contract or write up from a licensed professional indicating what he had done at your home or how it was in any relation to the work that we did It is unfortunate that you were having issues with your air conditioner but it was of no fault of our technician We would be willing to refund you $simply to resolve this matter but that would be our final offer

Westmoreland Affordable Plumbing, Heating & CoolingCherry LaneNorth Huntingdon, PA 15642Office ###-###-####Fax ###-###-####***Case Number *** *** ***Mr*** called our office and stated that he needed some parts replaced for his furnaceHe was told over the
phone that it is normally $to come out and run diagnostic testing to see what the problem is plus the cost of the repairMr *** stated he didn't want to pay a testing fee because he knew what parts needed replaced and had the parts that needed to be replacedMr *** was told over the phone that we can come out and replace the parts that he would like replaced but if that did not fix the problem we are not responsible because we did not run the testing to diagnose the problem, the customer agreedPer the enclosed contract our technican went out and priced out replacing the parts and the customer agreed to the work (see the enclosed signed contract)After spending numerous hours on the job replacing parts the furnace was still not functioning, we then found that an additional part was needed but even told the customer that once we get this part up and running there could be additional problemsWe did get the customer heat but there was still more work to be doneThe customer opted not to proceed with any further work, and just paid for the work that had been done so farWe spent over hours working on this furnace and did what was asked of our companyAgain, we strongly recommended to let us run the testing so we could diagnose what needed done and then we would have been responsible of the diagnosis given and the customer was fully aware of thisThe customer knew and agreed to all pricing so the charges are correctWe are mailing out a free service agreement plan which is a $value being that we dont like to hear any customers are dissatisfiedWithin a year time frame the customer is entitled to a free furnace check, free air conditioning check, free plumbing check, and 15% off of future repairs within the next year

I certainly do apologize for this inconvenience We can issue you a refund check for the service plan for the $charge which we will mail a refund check for We were called to the home on 7/and did diagnose a problem with the drain so that visit was charged correctly for the
diagnosis of the drain and the repair There was an additional problem with the air conditioner that we were to be returning for that we have not charged anything for to refund Again, we truly do apologize

We had Mark L*** stop out at the home on 1/20/At that time, Mark began running his diagnostics to assess what the problem was at the home with the clogged lineWhat mark had assessed was that sewage was building up in the yard near the house, leading him to believe there was a broken
pipe of some sortAt that time, Mark presented th option of running a sewer snake at a price of $Upon consent of price, Mark began running his snake through an outdoor house trap cleanoutMark was not able to open the line due to a clog in the lineAt that time, Mark then presented the customer with a price option for a dig up to fix what he believed to be the problemAfter the customer declined further service, Mark gave the customer a 25% discount bringing her new total to a low of $262.00. Upon speaking with the customer, she stated she was dissatisfied with the work due to another plumbing company coming out and providing her with information about the work our company didThe company stated that we had not snaked the line, as there was "no way we could snake it without pulling the woman's toilet"That information is false, as their is a cleanout vent by the house trap which is required to be on all sewer lines for the sole purpose of using a snake to clean the lineI believe though the company did get the customer's line open, they presented her with information about our attempted work to try to make their sale and question our initial diagnosisAlso worth noting, if the company did pull roots out of the woman's sewer then their is indeed a break in the sewer line, as that is the only way roots can come in

We were called to the customer's home for an issue with their faucet, we always try to repair items when possible opposed to replacing as it saves the customer moneyWe arrived 11/7 @ 5:45pm and checked everything overand felt we would be able to fix the faucet by replacing the part because
the set up of her faucet would have been very time consuming and expensive to replace. The plumber received a $deposit and had to run to get a part but we were not able to get the part that evening so we set it up to return the next evening to install the part. The next evening 11/we returned and installed the part to find out that it didn't work and ultimately we have to replace the faucet. The customer worked during the day so we were only to go in the evening, and then we had her scheduled for 11/to install the faucet based on her availability. We gave a very generous price for installing the faucet based on how time consuming it would be and incorporated money from the partshe had installed that didn't work. The customer called to cancel the installation job of the new faucet which is fine but we cannot refund her the deposit. We understand a family friend would be able to do the job at a much cheaper price because its an individual person and not a company that has to incorporate overhead into the job. We were at the customers home 11/from 5:45-6:25pm to do the assessment, 11/6:30pm-7:15pm to install the faucet part, and that's not including the time spent to go get the part and now we also have a part that is not able to be returned because it was installed. We feel this is very fair for the time spent and like I stated had she had us do the faucet installation we were doing it at a reduced price to incorporate money from the repair

Spoke to the customer today and the matter has been resolved A refund check in the amount of $was mailed out to Miss *** If you have any further questions please contact our office at ###-###-####

We were called to this customers home they had stated their furnace was not working. We told the customer over the phone the fee to come out and run diagnostic testing (basically figure out what the problem was), is $plus the cost of the repair which the customer agreed to. The
technician arrived at the home and did his testing and found that the heat exchanger was cracked and the carbon monoxide levels were too high for us to allow the furnace to continue running. The technician did not fix anything that got their furnace up and running he simply shut the furnace down and noted on the contract that the furnace was inoperableThe next day the customer called to express dissatisfaction on the $charge, stating he came in looked at the furnace and shut it down and he didn't fix anything. We again went over with the customer that they were told over the phone the fee to come to the house and see what is wrong with the furnace is $plus the cost of the repair, so the charge was correct. Our technician never even gave them a price on a new furnace because after diagnosing the furnace the customer made him aware he wasn't even the home owner he was a tenant. He stated the landlord has people that could put the furnace inNo documentation has been provided from a licensed insured HVAC technician proving our technicians diagnosis different. We are unclear why the tenant would have not called the landlord from the beginning when they were having issues with the furnace. We stand by our technicians diagnosis as he is a licensed HVAC technician and has been in the field for over years. We apologize that customer was not happy with what the diagnosis was but they were correctly charged

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I just want this company to realize that I am aware of the strong arm tactics they used with me on the phone. I feel that I was treated this way simply because I was dealing with men on the phone and I am a woman. I don't believe they would ever have spoken to a man the way they did. Thank you for responding, but I don't need your help any longer, I called someone else for help. Trust me, I will never give this company another dime of my business, and I will be sure that anyone I know that needs the services they offer do not even consider them.

We are sorry to hear you were dissatisfied. We were contracted to do a job on 9/14/where we relocated a kitchen drain line. The job was completed on 9/18/and the work was tested and everything was good. We were called in December you stated a leak in that same area, our
plumber went out and needed additional parts to fix a leak that sprung so the customer paid for the parts and we did not charge for labor where it should have been charged. It is now March and customer called stating water leaking from around that area and we had to tell him this original job was done in September and has a day warranty (which is on the back of the contract). We will typically go over the day time frame but not when its this far out anything can happen and pipes can spring new leaks we cannot control that. Had the pipe not been glued it would have leaked immediately not months later. If you have any further questionsyou can contact our office at ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not satisfied with the vendor’s response to my grievanceAs indicated in my initial complaint “the air conditioning was functioning and keeping constant cool temperatures in all rooms” The service call was placed to address the humidity in the basement and check the operation of the whole house humidifierI am not disputing the service tech’s diagnosis of the initial problem as a leaking suction valve and depletion of refrigerantI cannot accept, the FACT that the entire system, including compressor, was functioning all summer and immediately after the service tech departed, the compressor failed to operateResponse from your personnel was, and I quote, “things happen”I was told this not once, but several times when I asked for an explanationI inquired of Greg, your salesman, for credentials of the service technicians who made this astute analysis and he could not provide me with their qualifications.Since the weather was hot, the interior of the house was even hotter and W.A.Pwas not responding to my objections in a timely fashion, I called a certified heating and air conditioning repair service man and apprised him of the situationUpon inspection he observed that the suction valve and refrigerant canister were not installed to professional standardsHe noted that the soldering was done haphazardly (the braising was rough and not finished as it should have) and the connection was not insulated properly (he called these shortcomings to my attention upon his arrival)When I asked him how a compressor would fail immediately after replacing a suction valve and refrigerant, he indicated that it was possible but highly improbable and very unlikely that such an occurrence would happen at just that precise momentIn your recent response you indicated that you insist on cash because “We did want to receive payment in cash rather than check being some customers then feel they will just stop investing money for these parts, this has happened to our company before and we were just trying to avoid the situation from occuring (sic) again”This statement indicates to me that your “professionals” all too often fail to correct customer’s issues because “this has happened to our company before” and compound the cost of the service by installing additional parts that may or may not be necessary At this point the customer is forced with the option of paying you more or decline the service/parts and be left without a functioning unit, i.e.; as myself. I dispute a contention by the vendor that I was given an option of having an entire new unit installed and I did not state “who would put in a new system in August”I will assert, nonetheless, that I would not have had this work performed seeing as I had the house built only seven years agoAs far as warranty coverage is concerned I re-emphasize that the new compressor originally did not have a warranty included in the box that it was shipped in or on the invoiceOnly upon my firm insistence were the words “1Yr on Part warranty” added by your service technician to the invoice dated 8-6-15.At this juncture the unit has been repaired to my satisfaction by a reputable business that does not advertise as “Christian” owned I did not need a new unit as you suggestI am very disappointed in the response by the *** family since there has been no acknowledgement of their accountability, responsibility or incompetencyI am of the firm belief that a compressor, for which I paid $1,in cash, was not the problemYour solution to “talk to the customer about a significant price reduction on a new system” is totally unacceptable as I have invested nearly $2,with your company to repair a unit that was functioning prior to your tech’s arrivalIn effect, you are admitting to your failure and want me to incur the cost of your previous mistakes and invest more of my money in a new unitYou state “We try our best to satisfy all customers as best as possible and would be willing to do whatever necessary within reason to come to a solution”A reasonable resolution in my estimation, since my unit cannot be “restored to its original functionality”, is a refund of $1,100.

Regards, I was lead to believe that the Lifetime servicing was not only for the check of the furnace and air conditioning but also the servicing of both each year.  Why in the world would I even consider paying that much money just to have someone look at them and not "service" them.   I was totally mislead.  They have done nothing but lie to me and the Revdex.com.  I continue to want a refund.  Why would I want to have such a dishonest company come to my home.  I don't trust them nor want any part of them.  To refund my money would be the honest thing to do.  They have not lost anything by giving me a refund because they have provided no services at all for my $299.00.  And, I am continuing to tell you that if they have any notes on my account saying that they have tried to get in touch with me, they are LIARS.  As far as them saying that it is my responsibility to set up the appointments, if you check back on the initial complaint, I told you that I specifically asked the technician, Mike, whenever we talked about the Lifetime Servicing, if I had to call to set up the appointments and he said "NO", that the company would get in touch with me to set up the appointments.  PLEASE look at the contract that I sent you---It doesn't say "Lifetime CHECKING", it says "Lifetime SERVICING".  That should give you a good idea of what CROOKS these people are.  All you have to do is go online and type in their business name and then click on the "REVIEWS', and you will see for yourself all the dissatisfied customers and how many people they have taken advantage of.  ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK TO I CAN HIRE A REPUTABLE COMPANY TO SERVICE MY FURNACE AND AIR CONDITIONING.  What is so hard about that?
[redacted]

I apologize that you are dissatisfied with our response.  We stand firmly behind that our technician had no responsibility for the malfunctions of your air conditioner, as stated many times the suction valve was leaking which was causing you to lose refrigerant, which was causing your house to not cool properly.  With in a short time (probably days), you would have lost all the refrigerant to your system and it wouldn't have worked at all.   Our notes on the call were that you called to schedule for your free air conditioning check up that you are entitled to with the service plan you have with our company,  and that your air conditioner was working but not properly, you were not getting adequate air flow.  I find it very hard to believe that anyone from a professional licensed company would come out and do free work unless they were a relative or friend.  You have provided no type of contract or write up from a licensed professional indicating what he had done at your home or how it was in any relation to the work that we did.  It is unfortunate that you were having issues with your air conditioner but it was of no fault of our technician.  We would be willing to refund you $200.00 simply to resolve this matter but that would be our final offer.
