Electrical Express Seattle Inc Reviews (1)

In response to our former clients complaint:I did indeed fail to return her phone calls from 6/15/2015 to date. Due to an overwhelming demand inmy business and personal life I have scaled back on work and haven't been very responsive to some ofmy customers.I would like to address the following...

complaints:1. The Exterior Flood Lighting: During the remodel of the residence back in 2011 it was notnecessary to rewire the exterior lighting as it was the one area that had "newer'' wiring so wedid not run new wiring to these fixtures therefore we are not responsible for the fixturesmalfunctioning. In June 2015 I looked at the fixtures and proposed replacing them as a possiblefix. That was my last contact with the client.2. Cost of re-wiring in 2011: We performed a rewire of the interior wiring of the residence inaddition to the electrical work within the scope of the areas that were remodeled (kitchen, mainfloor bathroom, top floor bathroom) As the project progressed it became apparent that the oldwiring was unsafe (knob and tube) and needed to be replaced. Many insurance companies donot insure residences that still have this type of wiring. This is a tedious and lengthy processinvolving a lot of time spent in the crawl space and attic. We were up front and documentedthe time that we dedicated to this project and I cut many of the hours I spent on it in order tohelp defer some of the cost. The price the client was charged was fair. We came back to fix anissue with the smoke detectors in late 2011 or early 2012 at no cost to the client.3. Exhaust fan replacement: The client alleges that another electrician had to come and replace anexhaust fan that was faulty. She made no mention of that when we went there in early June2015 to repair an undercabinet light fixture in the kitchen (which by the way was not underwarranty but did not charge her for the service call) Had she let me know about the issue withthe exhaust fan when it was happening I would have gladly fixed it. Sometimes equipment goesbad. The exhaust fan we originally installed was above the required specifications for the size ofbathroom it was in and not "TOO BIG" as the other electrician alleged. Oversizing the exhaustfan in a bathroom helps to avoid moisture build up in the bathroom and growth of mildew andmold.Sincerely,Jonathan P[redacted]Electrical Express Seattle, Inc.
