Ace Appliance Repairs asked and was freely given a 100 deposit which is non refundable for repairs and parts because the cost of trip labor and time of diagnosis and canceling parts and repair orders and restocking fees incurred. Thanks [redacted]
I emailed my direct phone number. It would be nice if she called the office to let us know she has further problems.I have not received any contact letting me know her Appliance is not working. Thanks Greg [redacted]
My receipt does not indicate that the deposit is...
nonrefundable, nor does it deduct the deposit from the estimate of repairs. That would put the repairs over the $300 mark and a new appliance wouldn't be much more. The receipt was handed to me after the credit card was processed. A nonrefundable deposit was not communicated to me verbally or in written form. I do not have a contact or work order with my signature. Less than one half hour after [redacted] left I called Ace and told them that I'll be replacing the appliance. Since [redacted] did not have the part and was going to return at 0900 the next day with the part I question if it was in stock. I do not dispute the $49.95 service call but suddenly other charges, real or imagined, are surfacing without the benefit of a signed contract or any other means of communication.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,
[redacted]I also reiterate that there is no signed contract or any paperwork that states this is a nonrefundable deposit. I had the appliance fixed with a $26 part not the $238 as quoted by the business, along with an additional $100. I question the legality of his business practices the least of which is the lack of a contract signed by me. I do not despute the cost of the service call and have gladly paid it.
