I am [redacted] of Electronic Filing
Center. I have reviewed the paperwork
and tax returns of this customer. The
tax returns were prepared by one of our senior professional tax preparers on Friday
03/06/2015. All returns are then sent to
the review department where they are...
reviewed to ensure that nothing was
mistyped or possible credits missed. His
return was reviewed on Monday 03/09/2015, and transmitted to the
government. The review was clean and
there were no notes that he had requested any changes.
I have
checked with all the supervisors, and none of them remember talking with this
customer about any mistakes with his return on that Saturday. His paperwork has no notes to any problems,
or that he even came in and talked to any supervisors on that Saturday. In fact, his return still had not been
released for e-filing to the government yet at that time on Saturday. We would have been able to just pull his
return from the review department and make the needed changes without further
charges to him.
Now that his
tax returns have been e-filed to the government, if anything needs to be
corrected, they will need to be amended.
If we did make a mistake that caused his tax returns to be incorrect, we
do not charge the $50 for the amendment.
This
customer mentions in his complaint that “This is about 30 days later and they
still have it wrong.” We cannot fix his
tax returns, if we do not know that there is a problem. He needs to stop in and talk to the [redacted] to get his problem corrected.
Since this
customer chooses this outside method for a resolution to his problem, I am
responding as such, otherwise I would prefer to contact him directly to resolve
this problem. I will be waiting for this
customer to come into our office so we can resolve this problem. I am sorry that we confused him that we would
ever charge a customer for something that we messed up. Our company policy has always been to fix any
mistakes caused by us without any charges to our customer. We even pay all interest and penalties that
they receive due to anything that we caused.
Review: I had them file my 2014 state income tax. The problem started when I received a letter from the state of Wisconsin requested I send forms that were missing to complete filing on May 11. I called the business right away to tell them they missed sending the form. They admitted that a form was stuck to another form and said we were hoping the form must have passed in the mail when I received the letter from the state. Then I was told that I should receive my refund the following Friday May 15. Then I called the state and they said we just received the form on May 11. Then told me it would take another 2 to 3 weeks to receive my refund. They knew that I was using the money for my move. And now may become a single mom with no home for a month.Desired Settlement: I want them to pay the movers and then I will pay them back when I get my refund
apparently I wrote them out a bad check for $85.00 back in January. I was notified by them in the middle of June with no information regarding the check as to the check number or the date it was cashed. So I had to go to my credit union to search the check. I had until the 27th of June. First of all if that check was returned in January or February why was I not notified then. 5 months later. And now they took $120.00 out of my account to cover which will make other checks bounce. I dont even know for sure that the check bounced. Very poor business. You just don't take money out of an account without notification. This whole thing is just ridiculous. You are asking me to rate this business. Before today I would have said positive, now I say Negative.
Review: I Have been doing my taxes a this place for a few yrs and this time I have gotten the runaround with have a problem fixed the day after.I brought in a court order and the problem was fixed (or so I thought?) they sent in the wrong paper before I had the chance to correct it (It was the very next day) they sent in the first taxes NOT the taxes they fixed the sat. (I was in their office on Friday the day before,Now they want me to pay $50 for an Amendment!!! They made the mistake and now want me to pay them for THEIR Screw-up?? This is about 30 days later and they still have it wrong.I WILL NOT PAY AND I WILL ALSO TELL ALL MY FRIENDS "DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE"Desired Settlement: An apology and They take care of their (so called amendment)
