We were hired by [redacted] to restore Mr [redacted] electronicsOur client was this [redacted] contractorThe instruction we had was to take all of the electronicsWe inventoried each item that we took into an ipadMr [redacted] had signed our work authorization and agreed to us providing this serviceHe left town when we were scheduled to pick up the itemsWe don’t do any [redacted] until the estimate is acceptedMr [redacted] sent me an email and I answered every one of his questions truthfullyI’m not sure what he thinks we lied aboutI have emails proving we responded to him right awayHe asked for a copy of the photos and because it was such a big file of photos he came down to our office and we put it on a thumb drive for himWe treated Mr [redacted] very professionallyNot only did we reply to his questions but we were also very courteous to listen to his whole life story and all the issues he has going on in his life aside from the peril of his homeWe never turned him awayThe options he had in regards to his electronics are between him and his adjusterWhatever the decision, we take our direction from the contractor or adjuster Nobody slammed the boxes with his electronics on the groundIn fact, we gave Mr [redacted] more liberties by scheduling time in our warehouse to go through his stuff than we have with anyone elseTypically we do not let outsiders into our warehouse due to the fact that many insured’s items are stored in our warehouseMy technicians did need to watch everything he was doingWe also need to make sure we know what he is taking so we don’t get blamed for losing or breaking any of his stuffWe were very professional We had no problem with him getting his stuffHowever, we did insist he come during working hoursI’m not sure any other business would have been differentHe was very belligerent with us for not making time for him off of working hours or the weekendMy staff has families and commitments outside of our business hoursThey are not going to drop their lives to be available for Mr [redacted] to pick up his electronics during off hours or over the weekendWe were not being unreasonable Everything that we did with Mr [redacted] is documented and all information has been passed on to his insurance company, who was ultimately the company paying for this [redacted]
