Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is the only course. I wish the business had disclosed the possibility that a part could not be located. That would have averted the problem. The business needs to improve its communications to customers. My remaining disappointment is that there was no salvage offer. Some parts on the TV obviously could be used in future repairs.
Thank you for your assistance. I probably will not be buying a [redacted] in the future since its authorized repair shop can't repair company products. It was an unpleasant surprise.
Regards,
[redacted]
Revdex.com spoke with the business. The part that was needed had to be ordered three times, each time from a different source. However, each time the part came in there was an issues. After the third time the business and the consumer discussed the issues and it was determined that another part would not...
be ordered.
Review: Repair shop was recommended by [redacted].
I dropped off a wide-screen [redacted] for repair before Christmas.
Electronics Doctor charged $30 for diagnostics. They estimated repair cost. I agreed. Said it might be as quick as the Monday after Christmas I could have the repaired TV.
They have yet to fix the TV, offering excuses that the parts haven't been delivered or the part that came in didn't work.
I've asked for updates. They don't respond. Tired of calling.
Lack of response leads one to suspect something else is going on.Desired Settlement: Fix the TV as promised. Improve communication.
