I am rejecting this response because:The lock was not damaged by the fire departmentMy renters accidently locked themselves out with their young child inside and called the fire department to break into the unit through the FRONT DOOR, not the third floor balcony doorThis happened on December 2nd BEFORE the balcony door was installed. The lock on the balcony door never worked. As you can see from the email chain below on March 10th he said he would be in the building and it would take 20/minutesOn March 24th he clearly states he will fix the lock On March 30th he says it will be done if my tenant returned his callsI never had a conversation where I refused to pay because it didn't happenHe knew the lock never worked and he knew he needed to fix it.
