To Whom it May Concern:This letter is regarding the complaint of [redacted] against our braiding salon Elegance African Hair Braiding located at [redacted] MD [redacted].**. [redacted] need to come back in salon and we will braid her hair again...

with 50 percent discount. Our policy is No Refund. We have the sign on the wall. We can repair the braids to the customer after the service for no additional fee witch we did to her already. If the customer still not satisfy we braids her hair again with 50 percent discount but we don’t refund.We have repaired [redacted] braids after we braids her hair. She bought her own hair wish not a good quality. We have recommended her to bring [redacted] hair and she bought another make hair. Review: I went into the Elegance Hair braiding salon Friday 7/18/14 to inquire about a hair style and costs. I wanted what are [redacted] Twists, light weight textured style of twists. I was told what kind of hair to purchase and where to purchase for my scheduled appointment the next day. When I arrived Saturday morning with the synthetic hair I purchased I showed the owner and stylists a picture of how I wanted my hair done and they informed me that was fine. Two different stylists worked on my hair and I raised questions about this because the twists were not the same in size and style. Certain twists were larger and looser than others in my opinion. I was told however not to worry because they were in fact all very similar. The owners son approached me and asked if I were okay, he stated that I looked very dissatisfied and wanted to know what was wrong. I explained to him that I was not satisfied with the results and my hair looked nothing like the picture I showed. He told me that it still looked good and thought it was okay. Once my twists were done the stylists dipped my hair in boiling water to seal the ends. At the time I did not know but she was very careless in doing this as the water was too hot and scorched the synthetic hair. I hesitantly paid for the service after expressing my dissatisfaction and left the salon. A couple hours later I noticed my hair was coming undone from the ends because the water was too hot the kinky hair completely straightened instead of sealing at the ends. I called the owner and let her know and was advised to come back the next day and so I did. She braided the ends of the hair and tied some in knots to keep from unraveling which was only a temporary fix as she never tightened the twists. Then dipped the hair in boiling water again. By this time this was just over kill. The twists began to loose all shape and completely fall over the next two days. On Friday 7/25 I went back to the shop to show the owner how my hair had began to unravel and slide out.Desired Settlement: The salon owner agreed to redo some of my hair however this is not acceptable. I need a full refund of the service or for her to completely redo the style correctly.
