Elegant Auto Sales engages in Misleading and Fraudulent Advertising along with illegal upcharges to a "Auto Purchase Contracts" by adding advertising Car lower car prices then inflating the contract with Accessory fees as a commission fee.
On 7/25/2019 I entered into an agreement to purchase a 2010 Mercedes G55 with 75k miles on it from Elegant Auto Sales out of Rancho Cordova. I agreed to a price of $59,999 as stated and advertised with stock factory wheels that were painted black. After my credit was run for quoted price of $59,999 + tax and license, the Dealer, "***" and "***", added a $999.00 tire/accessories charge to the deal and inflated the cash price to $60,999. Upon noticing the error, I asked them to remove this upsell from contract but they refused , stating it was a Wheel/Accessory charge since the car had upgrades. But the wheels on the car and pictured on the WEB advertisements where factory OEM wheels that someone had simply painted black, and no upgrades to the wheels or tires were being performed as part of some accessory upgrades or addon package. The car was sold as-is, and as-pictured with Original Factory OEM wheels and Tires. The purchase price of a $59,999 cash price + Tax and license was agreed to before my credit was run. If the dealers price would have been $60,999 I never would have agreed to a credit check that ultimately dinged by credit and has caused me harm in purchasing a new car. Used/New Car dealers can't just add on forced accessories charged of $999 (masked as commission fees) and inflate the price just before customer is about to sign and close the purchase. This was definitely a bait and switch on me and Elegant Auto Sales needs to be reprimanded. They refused to remove the $999 fee stating it was a legal upcharge, but couldn't explain what the upcharge was for and what I was buying or adding on to the car. I would like this resolved
Good evening ***,Unfortunately I could not open the attachment. I tried on several devices and was unsuccessful. Nonetheless, I did not want to allow more time to pass with this matter being unresolved. This gentleman came to the dealership with the intent to purchase. We quoted him the advertised price disclosed online. Any additional charges were modifications the customer requested we do, to further customize the vehicle to his liking. Naturally, trying to appease the client, we agreed and presented options, one option adding an additional $999 to the Price to allow him the chance to finance it, if he did not decide to pay cash. The work he wanted done was more than the $999 we presented to him. Once again, in a effort to make it as simple as possible and financially comfortable, we reduced cost and gave him a special of only $999. All optional. I do not have any further documentation for you because the stages of this purchase never graduated past negotiations. We even didn't pull credit. My hope is that we can move this past us. Attached is the contract where they added $999 for accessories without my permission and refused to remove it, stating it was for wheels. but the G55 being purchased had the stock factory OEM wheels and I wasn't buying any additional accessories. The purchase price was to be the advertised price of $59,999 + tax and license. See attached contract.

I went to this dealership expecting it to be just like other used car dealers, but it wasn’t. They helped me through the entire process and we were able to lower the price to what I wanted! It was fast and easy and I will be taking advantage of the warranty they offered!
I bought a 2009 Escalade for $20k. When I signed papers before delivery I was assured the vehicle was safety inspected and is safe. On the drive home from the lot, I notices a small vibration and assumed the tires needed balancing, not a big issue. The next day I took it to the tire shop and asked to get a balance and rotation on the tires. The tire shop told me they could not perform any work on the vehicle because the tires are to unsafe and wore out. They said new tires and alignment was necessary. I took it to a completely different shop for a second opinion with the same result. How can you sell a car that has unsafe tires on it? I called the dealership right away and explained the situation. The person said he would have the owner call me the next day because he can't help. the next day I got no call so I called them back. I talked to the same person and he didn't even remember who I was and said the owner won't be in until the next day and he has no set schedule. He then said there is no law saying they have to sell cars with good tires and laughed at my issue saying it was" such a small issue".
We agreed to help the customer, REGARDLESS of the FACT that we have an inspection that states all 4 tires have passed inspection
prior to selling this unit. Customer at this point is being dishonest and we are not willing to do anything about this situation anymore. After the phone call
he immediately left us a bad review. Again we do independent inspections (not done by us, by mechanic's that are not affiliated with Elegant Auto Sales
on all of our units and we never sell a vehicle without the full inspection.
The staff made it super easy and simple. The process literally took under 30 minutes. I honeslty couldn't believe it!
I would like to share my experience with Elegant Auto Sales. I live in Tennessee and about a month ago I bought a BMW Z3 from Mike and Dimitri. I bought it, site unseen, using only pictures from their website and the descriptions they provided. I absolutely love my car and have no regrets in buying it from this establishment. Both men were very helpful in the whole process, from the loan paperwork to making arrangements to have my car shipped. I have to be honest here- I truly believe I got a great deal on my car.
