To whom it may concern: *** *** stands behind our product, however there are instances in which we cannot accommodate the dealerThis is one of themThe damage the dealer is reporting is unfortunately typical in palletized freight deliveriesWhen noted as damaged at the time of
delivery *** *** can file a claim with that carrier and the carrier will reimburse any charges necessary to replace that item(s)When a delivery is damaged and not signed for with an exception number at the time of delivery, *** *** does not have any recourse for reimbursement from the carrier, therefore we cannot reimburse the customer for the damaged product The most recent damage that is being spoken of was not signed for as damaged and therefore did not have an exception numberThe dealer states they were not there to sign, however the shipment was signed for by a person named Kevin and there was no notation that the shipment was damaged Previously this year, the dealer had received shipments with damageOne of which was visible damage noted at the time of delivery and signed for as damaged with an exception number, therefore *** *** was able to provide a credit for the damaged productThe second shipment was concealed damage, and again, was accepted by the carrier*** *** was able to reimburse the damaged product There is another instance in which *** *** stood behind our product and that is when this same dealer needed a replacement product due to the customer damaging the shutter in the home*** *** offers a “No Questions Asked” Consumer Assurance Guarantee that will cover the cost of the product should the homeowner damage the product in the home once it has been installed and accepted by the homeownerThe dealer then is only responsible for the shipping costs, however it is up to that dealer if they would like to pass that cost along to the homeowner with their install and trip fees they see fitPlease see our Warranty below Thank you very much for your time and consideration*** *** is not liable for this damaged product and will not be issuing a credit "Consumer assurance Guarantee!!!" Our Limited Lifetime Warranty covers your shutters against original defects in materials or workmanship. The "Consumer Assurance Guarantee" and Limited Lifetime Warranty are both activated upon the products being properly installed and accepted by the consumer.
