Elegante Iron, Inc.

We recently ordered an iron door with three glass panels from "Elegante Doors" in Dallas, TXI had my wife fly out to Dallas to review the door and make sure we want to purchase an out of state purchase from this company We were quoted $for the door with a deliver date by October 31, The door was to include "touch up paint" We spent a lot of money with flying there and paying for shipping for what we though was professional company with high quality products Unfortunatly we were very wrong
The door arrived December 16, 2015, two months late of what we were told with the following problems:
The door arrived scraped and there was no touch up paint included in our shipment When we called they told apologized and said they would send some right away Several weeks passed *** we still did not receive our touch up paint We texted our sales rep for the company and was told this time via text message they were "out of touch up paint and they had ordered some more and would ship us some when it arrived." This was around the first or second week of January We still have not received any touch up paint
The three glass panels looks as though they are forced into the frame and are set in a slant they also were leaking water when we had rain The screws which were used to frame the glass were standard wood screwsThe screws appear to have been painted with the door paint but some of them have paint and some do not (touch up paint could have been used to conceal these) Some of the screws are not flush with the panel and stick out as well
The metal rings around the lock of the door are too big and become loose and you open and close the door They used too big of a ring that does not fit the locks There was no hole drilled in the frame for the lock to go into (we had to nail ply wood until we got someone to come in a drill the hole for us so we could lock the door)The door handle was installed backwards, we must turn the handle up towards the ceiling to open the door
The door is NOT the color we ask for either
Through our ordeal both my wife and I spoke with Stephanie (sales rep) and *** (owner) My wife spoke with *** and sent her photos and video of the damages via text She apologized and agreed with all of our discrepancies We were so dissatisfied with the door we just wanted to return the door, they declined and offered other alternatives She said she would look into who assembled the door and told us this NOT the type of product she sells She also told us she would ship out silocone for the glass and water leaks and touch up paint Again we never received any of these products She also told us she would find someone local to us who specializes in Iron doors (New Jersey) to repair the damages and we were to send her the invoice for reimbursement She said "she would be in touch soon" we never heard from her again After numerous emails, phone calls and text messages they never followed up with usFinally we ended up disputing the door with our cc company, a week later I received an phone call from *** she where she threatened to call the police and have us arrested for stealing the door??? And called also cussed at me like sailor and then hung up on me DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNHONEST PEOPLETHEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WORK
