Element Garage Door Reviews (%countItem)

On February 3rd 2020, a garage door technician came to my house to fix a problem with the torsion springs and to also help me balance the garage door in order to allow me to install a new garage door opener. After on hour of trying to fix the problem the technician said there is nothing he can do to fix the garage door without replacing the springs, bar and drums. Out of impatience I did not decide to get a second opinion and allowed him to perform the replacement since he had already charged me $50 for attempting to fix the door.

Once the new parts were in place he tried to balance the garage door again. Regardless of his efforts, the garage door was not properly balanced, it would only stay open on its own less than half way. His professional response was the door is too heavy and there is nothing else he can do.

At the time I did not have enough knowledge or experience to dispute his claim and decided to move on. During the final test, I noticed there was a loud snapping noise when the door would come close, the technician said it was normal but I know there was not a noise before so I started looking for the cause.
After a few trials I noticed the tension wire wrapped around the drum on the right side of the garage door was actually in contact with the garage door, I told the technicians to fix it because the left side wire is not in contact with the door and it wasn't making the snapping noise. The technician said he would not fix it, it is normal for the garage to make noise and it wouldn't actually break the garage door. After a few more minutes of arguing I had to pay him $439 and he left.
Today I am finally installing the garage door opener and it turns out the door is not balanced anymore since it feels very heavy when opening and it wont stay open on its own. In addition, the right side cable is not allowing the garage door opener to close the door properly.
The Chamberlain RJ070 includes a cable tension monitor which detects there is something wrong with the tension cable.

Hello,

when the technician showed up he didn’t have a business card, their website doesn’t show a street address only email and phone number. I payed through a third party so the receipt only showed a confirmation ID and the amount that was payed.

Do you have any idea on how I may be able to obtain their address?

thank you
