I visited this store and found a table that I wanted to purchase. After speaking wth Matt and asking him if there was anything wrong with the table he informed me that the top was scuffed which I could see and was fine with. He assured me there were no other issues. I then paid for the table and he assisted my son in loading it up in my vehicle. I headed to Costco and when I needed to load my items I had to move the table to get my items in the vehicle. I then noticed a large crack throughout the leg that I was not informed or saw on the table in the store. This is my first purchase at this store and nothing was ever stated about their policies or anything at the time of my purchase. When I pulled out the receipt to make the phone call to the store to find out if they were still open and return this table I noticed on the receipt it said all sales are final. I contacted the store and left a detailed message about my problem with this table wanting to return it. I received a phone call the following day from Matt who is very kind said he had no way of helping me but would be in touch with Paula who was on vacation for two weeks and could not get in touch with her. He also stated that he had no idea that it had a crack in the leg either. Over the course of the past two weeks I expected to get a phone call from Paula or Matt. Today I called the store and Paula was in she got on the phone and proceeded to tell me that there was a no return policy. I stated that there was no way that she could expect to sell merchandise like this and not inform her customers of a cracked leg. She seem to get upset and informed me that she bought it from a customer who repaired it and it had not broken over a period of several years and it would not break on me either. She also stated that her entire store was filled with merchandise that had broken pieces or problems and they don't inform the customers of these issues. I am appalled by her policies and her lack of empathy towards a customer and would be future customer. She obviously does not care if I return to her store or what I might tell others in the meantime. I will definitely be letting others know my treatment at the store and the piece of furniture that I bought that was not up to par to her so-called upscale furniture boutique. I would never resell a piece of furniture with a cracked leg let alone not let a customer know that it had a crack in the leg. Terrible business practices maybe she's been smoking the pot thats for sale in her store. And unaware of how to run a business ethically. Good luck Paula! There is such a thing as carma!
