Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: As mentioned in the letter to *** ** ***, we were not aware of the expiration datesThe gift cards as he said are sealed; maybe by some kind of invisible tape (more like glue) and are not easily opened, whenever one was used it was always handed over CLOSED to the receptionistHad we known about the expiration date, we would have used the gift certificates first rather than the massages on our accountThe only reason for mentioning my injury to *** ** *** on January **, it is because 1.- it took that long for me to find him in person due to the fact that he refused to answer my e-mails or phone calls which he stated he never receivedThe only one time I went into their website was to get their proper address to send the certified letter to which he finally responded, never to read their fine print about gift card expirations because I never had an issue before2.- and to ask for an extension till June due to the fact that I could not use the massages till further notice from the Doctor, that is where he offered me ONE MASSAGE for my gift certificates; he was complaining that he has lost money on those certificates, that how was he going to pay his employees and how was he going to make money if he allowed me to use these cards. The *** at present has a sign in store, I can assure you, that sign was not there before because there is candy there and we always took a piece before the massage and one afterNo verbal warnings were ever given, you would think this kind of information should be given at the time of purchase and not on the BACK of a card that is inside a sealed envelope.Again I say: Who in their right mind would keep gift cards if one knew they would expire.
Thank you

[redacted] had purchased 48 gift cards in December 2012 and 30 gift cards in December 2013 during our holiday special Buy 1 Get 1 Free in which she received $2300 in free gift cards during 2012 and 2013. [redacted] states that she purchased over $1000 in 2013. This amount is inaccurate. The...

total amount purchased was less than $900 which she received the same value free. Each gift card sold has a year expiration. [redacted] has been a client for the past 4 years and our gift card policy has remained the same throughout those years. Each gift card had visible expiration dates on the gift cards. Each gift card clearly states the expiration date. Our gift cards are not sealed but do come with a gift card holder which is a tri-fold that is held together with a piece of tape. Our gift card policies are posted on our website and in-studio. [redacted] stated that she was injured in December 2014 the same month that her gift cards expired. We were unaware of these circumstances or medical conditions until January [redacted], a month after the gift cards had expired. Each signed receipt states all sales are final.

Review: Dec 2013 bought over a 1,000,00 dollars worth of gift cards without knowing it had an expiration in Dec. 2014 because these are SEALED gift cards which I gave as gifts and used by family members. Never was I told that they would expire and he did not then have any visible signs that stated any expirations; now he does have a visual sign.

I still have 18 gift cards and when my daughter went to use it the first week in January she was told they were no good any more. I tried contacting [redacted] several times by phone, sent him e-mails, went in person and on that day he said the best he can do for me was one massage for the **. [redacted] finally answered my e-mails after receiving a Certified Letter and his answer: "my stance on this issue has not changed"

I have asked for an extension till june 2015 due to the fact that in Dec 2014 I fell and fractured 3 ribs and a vertebrae; as per the Ortophedic Doctor I can not have any massages until further notice.

As I told [redacted], who in their right mind will keep 18 gift certificates if she/he new they would expire, that is a lot of money. Thank youDesired Settlement: To be able to use these gift cards by me and family members by june 2015
