Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The response from Spinnaker Photography does not resolve my
complaint. I did not meet Spinnaker at a wedding show and I have never seen the
pricing list that was uploaded to this complaint. I was referred to Spinnaker
Photography by another couple and the owner (Ed) gave me pricing over the
phone. On May 30th 2014 I talked with Ed on the phone and was told
that the $1695 included unlimited hours on our wedding day, editing, and proofs
because we were getting married on a Friday. I took notes while on the phone
with Ed on May 30th 2014 and I wrote down “$1695 includes unlimited
hours, proofs, and editing.” Spinnaker is now saying that there is not a
special for Friday weddings, which is not what I was originally told. Also, the
contract said “with proofs” next to the final payment, so when I signed the
contract I thought that (as discussed on the phone) proofs were included. We paid $312.67 for the proofs otherwise we would not have had any wedding photos.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  "I’d like to close the claim even though I don’t feel that this issue has been addressed. Considering all the previous responses, it doesn’t seem like we are going to reach a compromise. I’m extremely disappointed that we couldn’t work together to resolve this issue. First, I am disappointed that we couldn’t resolve the disagreement about the proofs and come to a compromise.  I was told that the proofs would be included. Our contract never had a final quote, which we found misleading as it clearly stated the first two payments and the due dates but the final payment said “balance” and “with proofs”, so when I signed the contract I thought that (as we agreed upon over the phone) the proofs were included with our final payment. In the end, it felt like an extra charge we didn’t know was coming. We certainly didn’t know what the dollar amount was, and it was very disheartening to have pay the extra money we weren’t prepared for in order to get our proofs. As I explained earlier, we found the contract misleading. That aside, I’m also disappointed that Spinnaker never offered to work with us regarding the fact that we were dissatisfied with the final product. I would hope that any business with a client who isn’t satisfied would try to do whatever they could to fix the situation. We paid $2094.17 for wedding photos, and while that is less expensive than other studios, it is still a lot of money to pay for a product with which you are not satisfied. The website showing the proofs could not be launched until after our check was cashed, so we had no idea that some of the photos weren’t our taste until after we had paid the full balance. It is very discouraging to be treated this way as a customer. I will not refer your studio to any friends who are getting married, and I’ve worked with The Knot to tweak the wording of my review. I’m considering posting it again so that I can share this experience with others."

two major wedding shows. I can’t be sure, but it appears that this customer may have found us at one of those shows..but again, I can’t be sure. I have been in business for 22 years and have never had less than a 4 star rating. We pride ourselves with offering an incredible value to our couples. One other unique aspect to our business, is that we actually don’t ask for final payment on the wedding till we launch the website and get together to see the proofs. As far as I know, no other studio does this. This usually takes place about 3 weeks after the event. ! ! As you can see by the enclosed contract, the payment schedule indicated that the balance of the wedding payment is due on proofs…this is strictly the payment schedule. The portion above that, lists all the ala cart services that are available. As a policy, we do not offer to give away our proofs, and even if we did, that would have been listed under ala cart services. We are a boutique studio and our customers can pick or choose which options are available for purchase after the wedding. [redacted] was never under any obligation to purchase the proofs..she decided to do that. I never threatened to not let them see the photos.
