Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2015/05/07) */ Contact Name and Title: Kevin Connon,Dir.Biz.Dev Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: [redacted] @blautogroup.com We are sorry that Ms [redacted] has concerns about our dealership, but she was not the person that ultimately purchased the vehicle at Elgin HyundaiA review of the paperwork reveals that Mrs [redacted] was the individual with whom we did businessIt was not a co-sign situationIn regard to the license plates for the car Mrs [redacted] purchased, they were properly registered in the state of [redacted] where Mrs [redacted] resides Finally, it appears that Ms [redacted] abandoned a vehicle at the dealership; a vehicle that was unrelated to the purchase transactionShe left the car on our property for almost monthsWe clearly could have charged a storage fee for her unauthorized use of our facility, but, as a courtesy, we did not do soWe are not aware of any damage to the vehicle

Completely disappointed in their service department I have a Hyundai [redacted] with just over 70k miles They pushed the 75k mile tune up $early, and then told me I need $in work including front and rear breaks My wife did the tune up thinking it was absolutely needed (service representative sold it) But I took the vehicle to two other mechanicsRear breaks and 70% of all other service that were "needed" were far from needing attention I had the front breaks and the serpentine belt replaced for 1/of what Hyundai wanted to charge me and I didn't get suckered into the rest of their sales pitch NEVER GOING TO THEM AGAIN!!!

Every attempt was made to get this deal done with both namesIn order to do that, paper work was submitted in both names initiallyIn the end, for this vehicle, that was not possible, as the lending institution would not approve a loan structured that wayThe customer was fully aware of this, seeing as he had to come back and resign the paper work (retail installment contract, buyer's order, etc...) in his name onlyThis was the only way this transaction was acceptable to the bank

While we understand the frustration with the situation, we have made every effort to go above and beyond to rectify this issueWe have replace the engine with a brand new one from HyundaiThis was not a used engine we bought from a wrecking yard, but a new one directly from HyundaiWe have also replaced anything that may have even potentially been affected by the oil issueWe also have provided a loaner vehicle during the repairNone of this has come with a charge or feeThis will also have no affect on the remainder of the factory drivetrain warranty, as that will remain in place jsut like it was prior to the damage

First and foremost, Elgin Hyundi apologizes for any and all inconvenience and aggravation that was caused from this issueSome of the delays between phone calls was due to trying to find other ways to install the heated seats that the customer wantedSince the complaint, we have tried different ways to satisfy Mr [redacted] We attempted to trade him out of his current Tucson into a vehicle with factory equipped heated seatsThat seemed to be a little to far over budget for Mr [redacted] In the end we provided a free remote start and refunded him the cost of the after market heated seatsMr [redacted] has been in contact with his sales rep and everything is fineThanks and have a great day [redacted] ***Elgin Hyundai

We are sorry about Mr*** less than satisfactory experience, and that the negotiation did not end in a mutually agreeable transactionWhile we certainly present optional warranties and services that we feel are appropriate, and to the benefit of the customer, these are in no way mandatory
We will review our policies and procedures with our staff to ensure there is no confusion, or misunderstandings, in that regard, going forward

I am rejecting this response because: I am so disappointed with Hyundai period! I went in for an oil change and for them to check my set belt light to drive home with my life on the lineCar stop on a busy highwayJust by the grace of God I didn't case a major traffic accidentHyundai is looking over the factI have proof and witnesses who checked my car and it was NO OIL IN MY CARNOR ANY OIL LEAKS! WHEN THE WRECKER TRUCK ARRIVED AND LEFTED MY CARIt was no oil leaking no whereWhen me and the police officer pushed my car off the highway to safety it was no oil leaking no whereI made attempts to Elgin Hyundai to the service department and proof of my phone recordTelling them all what was happening to my carThese folks assisted I keep driving to themIt took for my car to stop for them to direct me to call a towInstead when I called at first to tell me pull over and call a towMaybe all this been avoidedThen injured my back in the process of pushing my car to safetyHyundai intimidated me, belittle me, instead of them doing a full investagation of the truth they come with liesWhen I directed Elgin Hyundai not to put no motor in my car and they did anyway to cover up the fact they ruin my carMy car sound so loud it's horribleMy car never been loud and I drive plus miles each day and my car ain't never been this loudThe Hyundai service manager drop my car off to me at my homeTo cover up their dirty workMy car was at their shop days and tell me why they ain't put the part to my set belt onThe part they claim they will order for my car at the time they so called changed my oilYes they just put the bad to meI had to miss work from my part time job and career job because of emotional stress, and much more.

THIS HAS BEEN RESOLVED AND A CHECK FOR $HAS BEEN SENT TO NILESH SUDRANIATHE DELAY WAS DUE TO WAITING FOR THE PROOF OF THE LOAN BEING PAID OFF BECAUSE CUSTOMER WAS ASKING US TO SEND THE REFUND DIRECTLY TO HIM. OUR DEALER AGREEMENT WITH BANKS ASK US TO REFUND ANY CANCELLATIONS BACK TO
THE BANK, AND THERE WAS THE CONFUSION

I am rejecting this response because: They are lying and gave me the "standard Uber" dealThey sold me the insuranceThey said that I could elsewhere, but they also said that this was the cheapest and best and that is why it is the "standard deal"This company is fraudulent and not being honestI was told there were two insurance companies and they would charge well over $a month and didn't offer the same coverageTheir sales person lied and now their managers are covering it upThis is a horrible companyThey locked me into a horrible company with their "standard deal" and have done, but put the blame back on meThey had the boxes pre-checked on their end saying that I wouldn't drive the car more than hours for ride sharing, when I was leasing the car to do Uber full timehours of drive time barely pays for their lease and the insurance.....it's a fraudulent business practice

This complaint is wrongly directed at our business. This customer had an opportunity to obtain insurance through whomever he wanted. We simply acted as a go between for a customer and a third party insurance agent. The details of that insurance are between the customer and the insurance agent,and...
