Prior to purchase of this vehicle, this costumer was advised to have the vehicle checked out by anyone they chose and to be sure they were satisfied with the overall condition of the vehicle The customer was informed several times that the vehicle was being sold as—is and without warrantyThree documents were signed by the customer confirming their knowledge of thisThose forms included an “Acknowledgement of Sale”, a “Buyers Guide" and the “Purchase Order”The customer also signed a document stating that our company would not be responsible for any repairs that needed to made after the purchase was complete It is unfortunate that the repairs weren't foreseen by our mechanic, but it would be impossible for anyone to foretell problems that might occur after the vehicle was soldThis vehicle is years old and has approximately 174,miles, so it isn't unusual that some mechanical maintenance is required Thank you, [redacted] Managing Partner

Thank you for responding, but I have to disagree with your statement and so would the mechanic that fixed the vehicleI was told that any consumer would not have recognized a problem, but any business or individual who owned the sport trac for longer than a week would have realized the vehicle was faulty especially if a mechanic had checked itSo either your mechanic didn't look at the vehicle proir to selling it or you are being untruthful about that statementI test drove the vehicle and checked under the hood for any signs of mechanic failureAt the time of purchase I was told the vehicle was in great shape and that if I had any problems I could return to Elite Auto Group and you would help fix itI took your word as reputable business and payed cash assuming you would keep your wordBut now I understand why you sold the vehicle as is, but also never offered any warranty for my purchase, you don't keep your word and your not a reputable businessWhen I had the vehicle towed back to your shop I discovered this first handI even asked if you could help with at least half of the cost considering my need for transportation and the fact that I had just paid $for a lemonI will not stop warning people about your business practices and the unfair treatment I recieved until we come to some resolutionI know I was taken advantage of and will not stop because of it.

Those forms included an “Acknowledgement of As-Is Sale”, a “Buyers Guide" and the “Purchase Order”. The customer also signed a document stating that our company would not be responsible for any repairs that needed to made after the purchase was complete.
It is unfortunate that the repairs weren't foreseen by our mechanic, but it would be impossible for anyone to foretell problems that might occur after the vehicle was sold. This vehicle is 13 years old and has approximately 174,000 miles, so it isn't unusual that some mechanical maintenance is required.
