On March X XXXX the customer came in with his Mercedes Benz SUV for the check engine light being on and I informed the
customer we do not do work on those types of vehicles when it comes to engine or transmission issues because we do not have the computer for it to diagnose the problem , so the customer told me ok and left A few days go by then he returned and told me he took it to another shop and they diagnosed it for him and that the other shop told him it needs an EGR valve and coolant temperature sensor and wanted me to do it not the other shop , so I told him I would do the work if he wanted but I will not be responsible if the light came back on because I was not the one that diagnosed it and he told me its ok I will not be held responsible so I went ahead and did the repairs he told me to do A few months go by after the work was done and he returns to the shop saying his engine light is on again because of the EGR valve , so again I reminded the customer that I informed him before any work was done originally done that we both agreed there was no warranty because he asked me to change the parts he requested Then after that confrontation he made a scene in front of customers in the waiting room , and I told him even tho I told you I was not going to be responsible I will do the EGR valve again under warranty , and showed him the old and new parts that way he wont say I did not change anything After the EGR valve was replaced he left and called a few hours later saying the engine light came back on , so I told him from here I can help you because you came asking me to do these repairs because another shop told you that is whats causing your engine light to be on

I total disagree with what Elite Auto Repair saidElite Auto Repair has been working on this very Mercedes Benz for the past two years or moreThey have work on engine related problems on this car
They fix the Air pump and water pump,brakes, both engine problems and non engine related problemsthey are the only people who have been working on this car for the past two years that lead to our business relationshipEvery time something went wrong on the car, they are the people I turn to fix my carThey problem is he couldn't fix this very problem and instead of him, made it clear to me that this very problem is difficult for him to handle,he instead except the workHe ask me for $deposit for the part which I gave himHe worked on the car and told me the car is fix and when I drove the car, the engine light seem to disappear and a week later the light came back and that prompt me to take the car to a different shop, there the engine light was check and I was told that the problem is the EGRI was inform by the shop that the EGR was not fix by the previous shop
Elite Auto shop never warm me of my responsibility if the car was not fixThis is shop that has worked on this car for the past two years from engine problems to brake problem, they are not new to me or my car, we have a good friendly relationship until this recent problemI asked Elite Auto to provide me the warranty on the parts they install on the car and they couldn'tI gave they guy $deposit for the new parts, and $for the labor, where ever he brought the part, he should have a warranty on a new part
How do I know he put a new part on the car, this is the same guy who recently told me that he does not have any experience when it come to Mercedes Benz and yet he is the same guy that has worked on the car for the past two years without mentioning his experience

When the customer came in for the check engine light being on again I replaced the parts he requested me to change for him under warranty.I showed him the old parts and the new parts when I redid the job so he does not say I didnt change anything for him because I figured that he was going to say what he's saying now , so that being said I did everything he asked me to do and can not do anything else for him He is expecting a refund and inconvenience fee and I am not willing to refund him or pay him an inconvenience fee I did what he asked me to do and did not want to do it but he pressured me into doing the work so I did it

As stated previously the shop owner did not replace the parts, if he does the car should have been fix
The business has a conflicting statement, his previously letter to you stated he did not provide warranty on the parts and now he is stating he provide me with a warrantyThe business owner never provide me with a warranty
Can the business owner provide original receipt of the parts he brought me, as evidence he purchase the parts new and a copy of the warrantyOn business level you can not charge someone if the job is not done
He did not fix my car, that means he have little or no experience in car repair business.He either fix the car or refund me the fee he charge
