To whom this my concern? I'm responding to the complaint about the Ford Ranger that was brought on 12/30/? First off the customer called and told us that the motor was blown up and the head gaskets were out and we sold her a piece of poop and that we were scrum bags and then she told us that she took it to Jiffy Lube for oil change, tranny service, etc and after that the truck started to have problems not to put blame on anyone else we told her let's get it to my mechanic so he can look at itThe facts are that the motor and head gaskets are not bad and the cars water pump was shot because someone drove the truck while it was overheatingWhen the customers came to look at the Truck they test drove it then bought it took it home and drove the truck for a few days and gave it to her father at this time nothing was wrong with the truckAgain not to put blame on Jiffy Lube but kinda funny that after they did there work on it everything went wrong but again who knows ? There's know way you could of driven that truck with the water pump being shot the way it was even a few milesEliteAutoSource payed for the towing of the truck to our mechanic shop and are willing to help with the water pump but unfortunately we do not feel that we are responsible for it?

First off Nathan is our lot tech, And he never informed us that you had even called on the 5th of MarchAt that time it would of been great to hear from you that you were having an issue with the car especially if it was something that we already paid to fixEven after that we did not hear from you again for two and half weeks you called on the 22nd of March saying that you were having an issue with the serpentine belt and that you and your father had fixed it once, and were preparing to fix it again and were thinking it was the pulley now that needed to be fixedAt that time you asked if we had the invoice from the repair that had been done, we told you yes, and I made a copy and have had it sitting on my desk since that conversationOn the 23rd I had received an email after I had closed on the 23rd and the email had stated the serpentine belt had broke twice and that he fixed it himself, and that bolts missing and referred to his mechanic that his mechanic said that it was (the way the parts were installed) that caused the problemsYet he shows only pictures of [redacted] auto parts receipt's which tells me that he has been doing work to the car and not actual certified shop as there was no bill or invoice from an actual mechanicThat being said how do we know that in Mr***s's attempt to fix the car that he did not do more damage to the car by stripping bolts and maybe loosing them? We have also have attempted to contact Mr [redacted] via phone on 3/25/at 9:10am again on 3/25/at 9:16am again on 3/29/at 11:and left three voicemails on those days asking to contact us reguarding his plates that have not been picked up since 3/11/and a reminder about his payment that is due on 3/30/and that the owner of the dealership would like to talk to him face to face to meet him and see if they could come to a middle ground that would work for both sidesHe has never returned a call nor has he came by to pick up the invoice for the work that has been done by the shopWe try our best to a fair place to purchase a nice vehicle, we did our part by having the Ford Taurus safeted and we have a receipt showing the work done and that we paid the billI personally feel that anything Mr[redacted] has asked for or requested we have done and or have availableI do not feel that he truly wants to resolve this or he would of called and giving us a chance to do soThe shop has also said to us that the serpentine belt and pulley are basic maintaince items and are an easy fix and had they known of this issue or had Mr[redacted] called them that they would of easily taken care of it for himI can see where Mr[redacted] would be upset after having an item fixed and then himself fixing it and it braking again on himBut I don't see this being a fault of ours we did our job and paid for the repair, at worst I would say that this should be directed toward the repair shop that fixed the car unless the damage had been done by Mr***'s attempt to fix his own car (not sayin that this the case) but you just don't knowReguardless of who is to blame we have attempted to help him and are still willing too, but It takes both sides to try and solve the problem, but if he is unwilling to return calls that would lead us to think that he is just wanting to complain and not actually come to a resolutionThanks,Elite Auto Source

let me start off with saying *** came to our dealership to look at a Grand Am that we had priced at because he needed help financing because nobody would help him do to his BELOW average credit in his own words he had (Beyond Horrible credit) why he was here are mechanic
drove in with the Taurus at that time *** wanted to look at the Taurus because it was a much nicer car Bergan at this time told him that the car was probably to much because we had to do more work to the car and we were going to raise the price on it by dollars at this time *** asked Bergan to call me to see if we could help him because his only option was for in house financing Bergan told me that *** was a nice guy and felt we should give him a chance because he had no form of transportationHe also states that we ignored his calls and emails and did not want to supply a copy of are repair bill but the nice thing is we have all the emails that were sent starting on 3/23/at 9:pm and the contents they have in them which shows that his statements are not true that we did and do have the copy of the bill and also told him to take the car to our mechanic since they did the workAlso he says it has major mechanical problems a serpentine belt is not a major mechanical problem Its ironic that this comes up right when his payment is due LolElite Auto Source expects to be paid in full for the car and if *** does not pay his obligations we will seek legal action !!!

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:There are many things about the business's response that simply aren't trueI never said I have "beyond horrible" creditBad credit, sure, but by no means "beyond horrible." Bergan never told me that the Ford was "my only option." That makes it sound like he pressured me into buying the carI wanted to buy the carI still want the carI am just not happy with the extra money I've had to pay due to poor quality work by their mechanic. I am including a screenshot of the times I called the dealershipMarch 5th at 11:06, I spoke to Nathan because the power steering was outHe suggested I check the serpentine belt and if that was the problem, it would be an easy fix for meMarch 5th at 4:11pm, after the car died while driving home, I spoke to Nathan againHe told me that the belt being broken would cause the battery to drain as it powered the car's systemsBoth times he did not mention anything about the mechanic's warranty and he couldn't get the repair information because they were closedI was told that they could get the information the next time I calledMarch 22nd at 10:10am, after the serpentine belt broke the second time, I spoke to Bergan who at first seemed reluctant to get the repair information but eventually got the mechanic on the phoneSo I have been in contact with the dealership since 3/5, when this problem first started, just days after I bought the car.I also received a call and voicemail on March 24th from Greg who sternly reminded me (incorrectly) that my payment is due on March 28thHowever, my contract clearly shows that the first payment is due on March 30thI have enclosed a picture of this, as well as the cash I have to make this paymentI am not and have never planned on breaking the payment contract I signed. The problems were major mechanical problems because it was more than the serpentine beltThere were problems with the entire pulley system which caused the belt to breakPulleys were loose, bolts were missing, some bolts were threaded incorrectlyMy mechanic/technician strongly believes that it was the poor repair work done my the dealer's mechanic that caused these problems to happen.I'm also including a picture of one of the warranty cards that lists a Ford F-instead of a Taurus, so I'm not sure how valid some of the things I signed even are, as the dealership failed to write the correct car model. In conclusion, I am unhappy about having to pay extra money at the dealership that morning to pay for repairs done by their mechanic, which was poor and had to be redone, and then I had to also pay for the work to be redone
Sincerely,
*** ***

let me start off with saying [redacted] came to our dealership to look at a Grand Am that we had priced at 2350.00 because he needed help financing because nobody would help him do to his BELOW average credit in his own words he had (Beyond Horrible credit) why he was here are mechanic...

drove in with the 2001 Taurus at that time [redacted] wanted to look at the Taurus because it was a much nicer car Bergan at this time told him that the car was probably to much because we had to do more work to the car and we were going to raise the price on it by 300 dollars at this time [redacted] asked Bergan to call me to see if we could help him because his only option was for in house financing Bergan told me that [redacted] was a nice guy and felt we should give him a chance because he had no form of transportation. He also states that we ignored his calls and emails and did not want to supply a copy of are repair bill but the nice thing is we have all the emails that were sent starting on 3/23/2017 at 9:13 pm and the contents they have in them which shows that his statements are not true that we did and do have the copy of the bill and also told him to take the car to our mechanic since they did the work. Also he says it has major mechanical problems a serpentine belt is not  a major mechanical problem.  Its ironic that this comes up right when his payment is due Lol. Elite Auto Source expects to be paid in full for the car and if [redacted] does not pay his obligations we will seek legal action !!!

First off Nathan is our lot tech, And he never informed us that you had even called on the 5th of March. At that time it would of been great to hear from you that you were having an issue with the car especially if  it was something that   we already paid to fix. Even after that we did not hear from you again for two and half weeks you called on the 22nd of March saying that you were having an issue with the serpentine belt and that you and your father had fixed it once, and were preparing to fix it again and were thinking it was the pulley now that needed to be fixed. At that time you asked if we had the invoice from the repair that had been done, we told you yes, and I made a copy and have had it sitting on my desk since that conversation. On the 23rd I had received an email after i had closed on the 23rd and  the email had stated the serpentine belt had broke twice and that he fixed it himself, and that  bolts missing and referred to his mechanic  that his mechanic said that it was (the way the parts were installed) that caused the problems. Yet he shows only pictures of [redacted] auto parts receipt's which tells me that he has been doing work to the car and not actual certified shop as there was no bill or invoice from an actual mechanic. That being said how do we know that in Mr. [redacted]s's attempt to fix the car that he did not do more damage to the car by stripping bolts and maybe loosing them? We have also have attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] via phone on 3/25/17 at 9:10am again on 3/25/17 at 9:16am again on 3/29/17 at 11:45 and left three voicemails on those days asking to contact us reguarding his plates that have not been picked up since 3/11/17 and a reminder about his payment that is due on 3/30/17 and that the owner of the dealership would like to talk to him face to face to meet him and see if they could come to a middle ground that would work for both sides. He has never returned a call nor has he came by to pick up the invoice for the work that has been done by the shop. We try our best to a fair place to purchase a nice vehicle, we did our part by having the 2001 Ford Taurus safeted and we have a receipt showing the work done and that we paid the bill. I personally feel that anything Mr.[redacted] has asked for or requested we have done and or have available. I do not feel that he truly wants to resolve this or he would of called and giving us a chance to do so. The shop has also said to us that the serpentine belt and pulley are basic maintaince items and are an easy fix and had they known of this issue or had Mr.[redacted] called them that they would of easily taken care of it for him. I can see where Mr.[redacted] would be upset after having an item fixed and then himself fixing it and it braking again on him. But I don't see this being a fault of ours we did our job and paid for the repair, at worst I would say that this should be directed toward the repair shop that fixed the car unless the damage had been done by Mr. [redacted]'s attempt to fix his own car (not sayin that this the case) but you just don't know. Reguardless of who is to blame we have attempted to help him and are still willing too, but It takes both sides to try and solve the problem, but if he is unwilling to return calls that would lead us to think that he is just wanting to complain and not actually come to a resolution. Thanks,Elite Auto Source

Revdex.com:The company did pay for towing and repairs; however, I would like to state that they lie. I never once called them 'scrum bags', I called them scammers. Also, I never stated they sold me a piece of poop... This company wants to blame everyone and everything but themselves. They did not one thing to service this vehicle for sale...then tried to blame me for getting it serviced and breaking the truck. I will never recommend this company. The only reason they did anything was because I wrote complaints. I am sure they have gotten away with scamming many others that don't bother writing complaints or dealing with them. But considering they did fix the truck...I will accept the response. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

This complaint was resolved today. Elite Auto Source agreed to discount $300 off of the remaining balance owed on the Ford Taurus to make up for the mechanical problems and employee communication problems that led to this complaint. I then paid the remaining balance on the car and am satisfied with this resolution.-[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:There are many things about the business's response that simply aren't true. I never said I have "beyond horrible" credit. Bad credit, sure, but by no means "beyond horrible." Bergan never told me that the Ford was "my only option." That makes it sound like he pressured me into buying the car. I wanted to buy the car. I still want the car. I am just not happy with the extra money I've had to pay due to poor quality work by their mechanic. I am including a screenshot of the times I called the dealership. March 5th at 11:06, I spoke to Nathan because the power steering was out. He suggested I check the serpentine belt and if that was the problem, it would be an easy fix for me. March 5th at 4:11pm, after the car died while driving home, I spoke to Nathan again. He told me that the belt being broken would cause the battery to drain as it powered the car's systems. Both times he did not mention anything about the mechanic's warranty and he couldn't get the repair information because they were closed. I was told that they could get the information the next time I called. March 22nd at 10:10am, after the serpentine belt broke the second time, I spoke to Bergan who at first seemed reluctant to get the repair information but eventually got the mechanic on the phone. So I have been in contact with the dealership since 3/5, when this problem first started, just days after I bought the car.I also received a call and voicemail on March 24th from Greg who sternly reminded me (incorrectly) that my payment is due on March 28th. However, my contract clearly shows that the first payment is due on March 30th. I have enclosed a picture of this, as well as the cash I have to make this payment. I am not and have never planned on breaking the payment contract I signed. The problems were major mechanical problems because it was more than the serpentine belt. There were problems with the entire pulley system which caused the belt to break. Pulleys were loose, bolts were missing, some bolts were threaded incorrectly. My mechanic/technician strongly believes that it was the poor repair work done my the dealer's mechanic that caused these problems to happen.I'm also including a picture of one of the as-is warranty cards that lists a Ford F-150 instead of a Taurus, so I'm not sure how valid some of the things I signed even are, as the dealership failed to write the correct car model. In conclusion, I am unhappy about having to pay extra money at the dealership that morning to pay for repairs done by their mechanic, which was poor and had to be redone, and then I had to also pay for the work to be redone.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
