Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The length of time required to repair the vehicle dictated that Elite Automotive should have made some good-faith effort to provide alternate transportation by the 4th week of the repair when we requested itWe were forced to acquire other transportation on our own resulting in the purchase of a new vehicle without the benefit of a trade-in. It ultimately took Elite Automotive days to resolve the problem, leaving us with a used vehicle we no longer had any use for by the time they completed the repairs. Their insistence that the course of the repair was out of their control in no ways abdicates their responsibility since the car was entrusted to them, not to Ford Motor or any other supplier they continually try to blame for the delay. Additionally, providing alternate transportation was entirely within their control, and Elite Automotive deliberately decided that saving the expense of providing alternate transportation was more important to them than our welfare or their own reputation. At the time the car was finally made available to us on October 13th some days after the vehicle was left with them, I requested that Elite Automotive accept the previous proposal I made through the Revdex.com, which would have put them in exactly the same situation they have put us, -specifically- they would have become the owner of a car they have no use for. The owner of Elite Automotive declined to accept that resolution. We stand by our original complaint as submitted, and feel that the Revdex.com records should indicate the complaint was NOT SATISFACTORILY RESOLVED. Further, we strongly feel the details of the complaint should be made available for public inspection. It is our belief that in the interests of the public at large, the Revdex.com rating of Elite Automotive should also be adjusted to reflect the true nature of their business practices, something that certainly is not reflected in their current A+ rating Regards, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The original problem was that the engine would not start up after been driven on several errandsI would get in the car to go home and I would turn the key and the engine would run very rough, shake then dies outIt would do that for about to minutes then the car will start up as if nothing had happened, and I was able to drive the car homeThis has happened different times, and months apartWhen it happened the third time on March 19th, I took it in to Elite, and explained the problem to themThe mechanic hook the diagnostic machine to locate the problem and I was told that it "passed with flying colors"So why did they replaced parts that did not correct the problemI think that since the diagnostic machine did not pin point the problem, they made the decision to go ahead and replace a parts and run up the bill because the car is already thereObviously, the car broke down days later because they misdiagnosed the problemI had the tow truck bring the car back to their shop when it broke down againElite wanted to charge me an additional $to replace the fuel pump, I told them that they misdiagnosed the problem and should credit the previous bill towards the $that they are now asking, they won't do it so I had to call around to see where I could take my carI found a shop who replaced the fuel pump for $I just cannot afford to pay an additional $for their mistakeIt's not fair

Review: Took my car in for an oil change. I was advised my rear brakes and air filter needed replacing. I defered the brakes. Upon picking up the car I was informed the brakes were metal on metal and they were out of air filters for my auto. I paid for the oil change and the 31 point inspection. 10 minutes after I drove off I pulled over to put gas and noticed my hood was not closed properly and the car drove rough. I called my wife and I called the shop to complain. My wife suggested we go to her mechanic for a second opinion and estimate on the rear brakes. We left the car overnight with the mechanic and picked it up the following day approx 24 hours after picking it up from elite auto. Our mechanic advised us that the brakes did not need replacing and that the reason the car was running rough was due to an oil leak that spilled on to the head gaskett and sparkplug. The total damage was 80.00 for parts and labor, a 100 mile round trip times 2 and 50.00 in gas. We are confused as to why Elite auto did not inform us that we had an oil leak and why did they exaggerate the order to replace the breaks. The hood was left ajar and my wife had to take her vacation day and follow my car closely to her mechanic in case of a breakdown. At 12:30pm the following day we picked up our car and returned to elite auto to speak to a manager and were informed that all 3 managers were busy relocating offices to another location. We were told our work order along with our complaint would be left on the managers desk and we should expect a call regarding the situation by the end of the business day. We did not receive a call and plan on returning tomorrow early in the morning to speak to a manager.Desired Settlement: Reimbursment of repairs, fuel expenses and refund for oil change done.

Review: 27 days (and counting, it is now Tuesday evening) and the car is still not fixed....We made the mistake of having our 2007 Lincoln MKZ towed to Elite Automotive on 9/2/2015 after it stalled on [redacted]. It has now been at Elite Automotive for 27 days and they are no closer to resolving the problem than the day we first left the car there. Elite claims the PCM (power control module) has now been replaced twice, and Elite claims both replacement parts were new-defective. Because the car has been driven and the engine run with new defective parts, we are convinced the engine has sustained substantial damage far beyond the original failure, and after 4 weeks it is clear they are incapable of fixing it. Additionally, today, 9/29/2015, we requested alternate transportation be provided to us in the form of a rental car or loaner. Elite Automotive refused claiming this whole situation is our problem not theirs. It is readily clear at this point that Elite Automotive is not operating in good faith, and their standing with Revdex.com should reflect this accordingly.Desired Settlement: The book value of a 2007 Lincoln MKZ with 92,000 miles is approximately $7,500. A satisfactory resolution at this point would be a cashiers check payable to us in the amount of $5,132.17 covering the value of the car less their original estimate of $2,367.83

In exchange, we will surrender both the Missouri car title and pending State of California car registration to Elite Automotive, and they can spend the rest of eternity working on the car if they so please while we make other transportation arrangements.
