This complaint has been handled We told the customer she had to contact the Leather dealer, which she did, but she never recontacted us We didn't know anything until more about it until we received a letter from you I contacted the leather dealer who agreed to give her the money back for the cleaning of her coat She was reimbursed for the cleaning but not the alterations - which is what I think she wanted all along as she kept saying she did not want it cleaned The leather cleaner said that for health and safety reasons they have to clean a garment before they do alterations on it She was told this and signed a release to have it cleaned then asked for her money back as soon as she came in to pick it up saying she really did not want it cleaned ??? I have never in all the years I've done business with this company had a complaint about shrinkage Anyway, the leather cleaner said they'd rather give her money back than deal with her So this has been taken care of and really was not a complaint against my business as much as the leather cleanersThank you,Jama E***dba Elite Cleaners

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I reject it because Elite is stating that the complaint was not against her business as much as the leather cleaners. the complaint is against Elite cleaners as I was told she didn't know much about the business, only that she has used [redacted] leather cleaner for years. also I don't know what the question marks mean after where it states I didn't want it cleaned. I was told by elite after the clerk made a call that [redacted] would not clean my coat but was never told why [redacted] would not fix the seams without cleaning it. I also had not contact elite as I had not heard from elite yet but jama from elite did call me and did say the she spoke with [redacted] & it was a "health issue" and that [redacted] is going to give back the $50.00. If Elite has done business with [redacted] for years than elite should have be aware of how a business works before  they start sending customes belongings there to be cleaned. Also Elite states they would rather give me my money back than deal with her. I was told by jama at elite to call [redacted] as elite had nothing to do with them other than elite sends stuff there to be cleaned. (as a business owner you might find out how a business runs before you send customers belongings there). so I called [redacted] & was told [redacted] could not speak with me as I was not considered a customer and that elite was their customer & I would need to call them but that she would contact elite to see about getting this resolved. (also I spoke with Susie not lisa at [redacted]). so as the complaint being taken care of I did receive $50.00 from elite not [redacted]. & don't believe it has been resolved as I can not wear my leather coat that I have had for 29 yrs as It was shrunk. I consider the complaint Settled as I still my leather cannot be fixed. If my coat had not been cleaned & just repaired I would be weaing it today.  Also there has been a complaint about [redacted] though the Revdex.com. So the Complaint is about Elite as a business should be aware of what a business does before you send customers belonging to be repaired.thanks for your time[redacted]

On 8/29/2016, two receptionists in Elite Cleaners received a pillow case and comforter for service from customer [redacted]. When inquired about the size and material of her comforter, Ms. [redacted]l stated that her comforter was King-size and made of down material. At the time, Receptionist 1...

created an invoice based on the information provided by the customer without checking the comforter itself, as she trusted that the customer knew these aspects of her comforter. Receptionist 1 made the first invoice as shown in Figure 1. On 8/30/2016, when we were cleaning the comforter, we discovered that the size of the customer’s comforter was not King nor was the material down, as the customer had initially described. By the appended Bedding Size Chart (Figure 3), King-size comforters are either 102”X86” or 102”X94”. The size of Ms. [redacted]l’s duvet cover, which is 64”X84,” closely matches that of Twin, not King, as shown by the chart. At Elite Cleaners, the term “Full-size” is used to describe the bed size of Twin, Twin XL, Full and Double. As these changes resulted in a price reduction from $45.00 to $32.00, we generated a new invoice with the correct size and price, as shown in Figure 2. Additionally, the comforter was washed for a second time due to the abundance of stains. In the morning of 9/2/2016, when Receptionist 2 was working, the customer came back to pick up her items. Receptionist 2 explained to the customer about the changes in the invoice that were made. However, the customer refused to pick up her comforter, stating that it was not hers. Even though the customer acknowledged that the size of her comforter was Full and not King, she continued to state that the comforter was not hers because the comforter was made of polyester, when she thought it was down. Additionally, she stated that the tag was more worn out than it was prior to our service, which was why she believed that the comforter was not hers. She requested to physically come behind our counter and inspect other customer’s comforters to see if Receptionist 2 had mistakenly given her another customer’s comforter. Receptionist 2 allowed the customer to do so, upon which she found that none of the other customer’s comforters were hers. The customer continued to deny that the product was hers, and stated that she wanted to speak with Receptionist 1. After Receptionist 2 told the customer that Receptionist 1 will be working in the afternoon, the customer left the shop. In the afternoon of 9/2/2016, when Receptionist 1 and I were working, Ms. [redacted]l came back to our shop, and continued to refuse to pick up her comforter for the same reasons stated above. She also stated that her comforter was new. When Receptionist 1 requested for the original receipt of purchase to verify this claim, Ms. [redacted]l stated that she could not provide it to us because the comforter was purchased four years ago. She also stated that the comforter was never cleaned in those past years, which was why the label should not have been as faded as it was after our service. We explained to her that the comforter was washed twice to remove excess stains, which was why the label was faded. Furthermore, the detergent that we use is strong enough to fade many labels. Despite this explanation, Ms. [redacted]l continued to demand us for a Full-size comforter made of down. She then proceeded to state that the comforter was not hers, but in fact, her daughter’s, and told us that she will ask her daughter through phone to verify her claims about the condition of the comforter. When we requested to speak with her daughter directly, Ms. [redacted]l contradicted herself by stating that her daughter could not provide us with any information on the comforter because she was only thirteen years-old. Despite our numerous attempts to clarify her misunderstanding, she continued to demand a Full-size comforter made of down with a new label, while threatening to sue us and taking photos of our shop.

On first visit to this store, proprietor damaged 3 shirts beyond repair. Appears to be a result of bleach stains. On my first visit to this store, I dropped off three shirts and explained I was trying them since I had recieved a damaged shirt from a cleaner whom I had been using over five years. Specifically told them that I do not submit damaged shirts for service. I them gave them 23 dress shirts for cleaning. When I returned, they pointed out three shirts which were in near new condition and claimed they were already damaged before they came in. I pointed out that they were not damaged, that they had clearly been laundered and asked for reimbursment. I also pointed out that the typical "wear wrinkles" were no longer there and therefore had to have been laundered. The denied they had been laundered and said they were not responsible. I let them no that they were responsible, that I would not return and that I was contacting Revdex.com. There was not reply.Desired SettlementI estimate that to replace the shirts would be no less than $100. There was no wear or fading on any of the shirts and none had been worn more/cleaned more than 4 time maximum (perhaps less). One shirt was a [redacted], one was an [redacted] and the third was a [redacted] brand (Club Room).

I even took a letter there to inform them if article not found, please pay me for my product. Have not received a call of any kind, they have my phone numbers as well as cell-phone number.Product_Or_Service: Navy Blue Heritage Straight leg pantsDesired Settlement1 pair of navy blue straight leg pants, purchased from Talbots

Review: I went to to have my dress pinned at the cleaner and I was given a receipt with the price of $11.95 for the services a hem and press. When I went to pick my dress up with my receipt, the woman rand up my dress and said 70.95 and additional $59 was added to my total, when I asked the woman why her response was because it had a liner. I find it unreal to charge someone $70.95 for a hem that was already quoted $11.95 and clearly printed on a receipt with out any type of communication with the customer.Desired Settlement: for the additional charges of $59.

To Whom It May Concern:

We have been operating in [redacted], PA since 1998. We have operated under the same rules and guidelines since then. I have spoken to my employee, [redacted], who wrote up this order. [redacted] is a veteran employee who has been employed here since December of 2007. I also analyzed **. [redacted]’s account and her invoice concerning this matter.

First, our tailoring or repairs guidelines: All tailoring or repairs are written in or recorded after our tailor finishes the work and written by the tailor directly. This is the case, because only the artisan or craftsperson can quote repairs for work and time only they can do. *In this case, in particular, **. [redacted]'s dress was a formal/fancy dress and required custom tailoring work, as opposed to normal regular every day dresses. We have surveillance footage if needed to identify the dress to confirm this. All invoices/tickets customers receive clearly state: "PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE REPAIRS", customers are given a verbal disclaimer of this fact at the counter upon the issuing of their invoice (on top of the disclaimer being printed on their invoice), and asked whether or not they would like a quote prior to work being started. We are very "by the book" here, as our regular customers can attest to.

Second, I as general manager never received a complaint from this customer. I find that to be odd, since any consumer at any establishment, would know to ask for the manager or speak to the general manager to resolve any complaints.

Thirdly, I do not know if you ever frequented a tailor or dry cleaner, but do you find it odd that a bridesmaid dress with multiple layers, as is the case here with **. [redacted], would cost $11.95 for both the pressing and custom tailoring (hemming)?

I have included a sample invoice reproducing the details of **. [redacted]'s order, with said disclaimers for your review as well as a copy/reprint of **. [redacted]'s invoice*. (*Please recognize that a reprint does not represent the customer's copy and is an internal store issued invoice.) I also have customer invoices from past orders dating back 5 years to represent proof of said disclaimers and if needed will include testimonies from regular customers to back my claims.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
