In May, I registered and paid a deposit for my son to take a 38-hour Driver's Ed class that was supposed to take place on July 9, 2018. I never heard from anyone about the parent meeting that we were supposed to have so I emailed them to inquire and on Sunday, July 8th I was told that they were sorry but the class was canceled due to trouble with the OMV. I asked for a refund then because I told them we didn't have much time and my son really needed to take the class before school and sports practices started back up and was told they would ask the owner and get back to me. Then a few days later I emailed them again and was told they were going to hold the class on July 16th and would that wprk for us and I said yes and I would contact them again on Friday to confirm that the class was still on. So, on Friday I emailed once again asking if class was still on and on Sunday, July 15 they responded and said no because they were still have issues. So, once again I tried to be understanding and said I was sorry for their troubles but I really do need to get a refund. They responded and asked me for some information which I immediately sent to them and then I never heard back. Since Sunday July 15th, I have emailed them 3 or 4 times and posted on their facebook page asking about my refund and I still have not recieved a response and if you call the phone number listed it just goes to a voicemail. Is there anything that you can do to help us get our money back? Clearly, this company is having issues getting their paperwork with the OMV and they do not know when they can resume business, so I along with many others have had to make other arrangements for our children to take Driver's Ed and since the company told people to send their information to them for a refund and have failed to respond, I would just like a response and a timeframe for how long it will take to get my money back. I told them that they can mail me a check for the amount paid or I would be more than happy to go pick it up.

Refund I would just like my money back since my son's class was canceled twice and I have had to register him somewhere else. Thanks.

I scheduled a road skills test for my son, and prepaid, on their website, showed up for the test, no one there- no refund given.
My son took his driver's ed course at Elite, in Feb 2018. He was due to take his Road Skills test, so he could get his license. I called to schedule, but the office was closed "for the holidays" from July 1-8. So I went to their website, where I had previously scheduled and paid for the driver's ed, and scheduled/paid for the road skills test, for July 9 @ 11:30 am. I received a confirmation email, and my account was debited for the $62.40 for the test. When my son and I arrived, on July 9, at 11:10 am, no one was on the premise. The lights were out, the door locked, and a small sign said something about having issues with OMV and the business license. I called the # on the door, diconnected. I called the # for their Denham branch (found listed in Facebook), also disconnected. I pulled up the confirmation email that they had sent, and called the number on the email, and went to a voicemail. I left 2 messages, emailed, facebook messaged both location, and finally after 45 minutes received a call, from the owner saying he didn't understand how I was able to schedule an appointment... made a million excuses, but promised me a refund. Later that day, (perhaps an hour later) facebook messenger started going off, and it was Elite apologizing and making excuses, blaming OMV and how unfair they are, etc.. I again requested a refund and was told that they would process the refund immediately. It is now 8 days, I have no refund and they are no longer responding to my requests.

I might add that this is happening to many people in our area. I was contacted by a group of 12 people who are currently fighting to get a refund. One lady said that she cornered the owner and demanded a refund, to which she was written a check, which later bounced.

I will also add that when some co-workers learned that I had scheduled my son's driving class via Elite, I was warned about their bad business practices, but since I had prepaid, I hoped that they had gotten their things in order and were working toward better customer service. Apparently I was wrong.

Desired Outcome

I want a full refund and I think it would be wise that they remove prepayment requirements, from their website, if they can't give a timely refund, for their own failures!
