Thank you to the Revdex.com for mediating this
complaintWe were first contacted by the client on Memorial Day Weekend
(5/**/14), asking if we could help edit this paperThe client noted that they
had already gone through another agency and that the other agency
“did not
complete it.” They were then hoping we could help with their paperWe
responded immediately (within an hour) and told them that we would be happy to
helpWe directed the client to our website, where they could read the parameters
of our editing services, submit their document, and make paymentOnce the
document was submitted, the paper was edited and returned on time (within
hours)
More than two weeks later, on June **, we received a call
and email from the client conveying their dissatisfactionThis dissatisfaction
stemmed not from the job that we had done originally (which they had reviewed
two weeks prior), but from the comments their professors made regarding the
paperI personally responded to the client immediately by phoneWe spoke with
the client’s wife, who said she was the one who submitted the paper and was
the main point of contactWe explained to her that we would be glad to help and
that it was of the utmost importance to us that all of our clients be satisfied
with the editing services they receiveWe asked her to send the professor’s
comments over to us so that we could conduct an internal editorial review,
which is our standard operating procedure when a complaint is made
The professor’s comments revealed that the issues with the
paper were not concerning proofreading errors; they involved major content
changes that needed to be made by the authorThe professor seemed very
dissatisfied with the author’s content choices or lack thereofSpecific callouts (pulled directly from the text)
include:
"A formal introduction explaining purpose and structure is needed."
"The learner did not provide a clear discussion on the positivistic philosophical perspective."
"Moreover, the learner did not articulate more than one research design in their discussionThere
discussion and the corresponding research paradigm early in the discussion."
"There discussion on data collection methods was very thin."
"The learner uses very few sources to support their response."
At Elite Editing, it is part of our editorial policy that we do not add or create content to student work as it is unethical
to do so
On June **, I responded to the client with our findings, but
still offered to provide a second edit for FREE because, as mentioned
earlier, client satisfaction is of the utmost importance to usA copy of this
email is attachedThe client then responded, thanking us for our evaluation
and helpThe client then said that they would resubmit in a few daysThe
client never resubmittedInstead they filed this complaint
We feel that we did provide a high-quality editorial
service for this client, as described by our services on our websiteWe also
feel that we did everything within our power to help this client in ways that
were beyond the scope of the original assignmentWe strive to provide
excellent customer service and work with our clients to obtain positive
resultsIn this case, however, the client’s dispute seems like an attempt to
elude payment after the fact.
Thank you,
Elite Editing

Thank you for contacting usWe are sorry to see this interaction result in a complaint with the Revdex.comThe client submitted their document, and soon after we informed them that there had been a technical issue in processing their payment and we had not received notice that payment
had gone throughWe then asked the client if they would still like us to edit their workBut we then received an email asking for a refundWe are happy to oblige thisThis correspondence took place last week and within one day of the client's request for a refund, they also contacted the Revdex.com and filed a complaintWe were not even given a chance to process the refund before the complaint was filed.
Regardless, the client has been fully refundedWe hope this results in a closing of this complaintIf any further evidence of this refund is needed, we would be happy to provide itThank you for your time and for your immediate assistance

Review: I contacted with Elite Editing services to provide proofreading and editing of my doctoral dissertation. While the document was returned to me within the time-frame, the services rendered did not meet expectations. In fact, my doctoral dissertation adviser instructed me (after submitting the Elite Editing edited manuscript) that I should hire an editing service to assist with final editing. When I told him that I had already done so, he responded with, "I hope you did not pay too much for that service, it was terrible." He further instructed me to provide Elite Editing with copies of our email exchange if they needed proof of the unacceptable services provided.

I made four attempts to contact Elite Editing. The first was received with an email that someone would contact me; however, that contact was never made. Subsequent attempts to contact Elite Editing were not returned.Desired Settlement: Since Elite Editing did provide the service -- although not high quality as promised -- I am seeking a 50% refund of my purchase. I do not feel it would be right to request 100%; however, I had to hire another editing service to complete the task.

Review: To whom it may concerns,

Last Saturday (September **, 2014) at 11.42 am, I submitted my paper for 24-hour editing service, and paid $358.20 for Elite Editing's service. On Sunday, after 5 hours (4.42pm), I did not receive any response from Elite Editing regarding my editing paper, and decided to send it an e-mail. On Monday (September **, 2014) I got an e-mail from a staff, who told me I had a billing error but was able to fix, and ask me if I want to continue so it can delivers my editing paper the next date. I replied back, and wanted my paper to be edited and sent the next date. However, I still have not receive any response from them regards to my paper until today (September **, 2014), although I tried to contact them by e-mail and phone to remind it and cancel the service.

Not only, Elite Editing does not provide me with information regarding to my billing issue, but also is not responsive in responding to my e-mail and phone messages and does not deliver the service it promised.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund the original payment of $358.20 for their 24- hour editing service.

Review: I am writing to submit a compliant about Elite Editing for failing to return my money for professional editing services that was not rendered. On Monday, July **, 2013, I submitted a manuscript (45 pages and 13,793 words) to be professionally edited by Elite Editing. I paid $557.20 for the expedited turnaround (1 day/24 hours) editing service using [redacted] ([redacted] Receipt No: [redacted]) on July **, 2013. I received an email from Elite Editing on July **, 2013 indicating that they were awaiting confirmation of payment from [redacted] to assign my manuscript to an editor and that it would affect the 24 hour turnaround. I emailed Elite Editing on July **, 2013 about the status of my manuscript being edited because I had deadline on July **, 2013.

On July **, 2013, I received an email from Elite Editing indicating that they contacted their payment department and were waiting for confirmation of payment. The email indicated that an “another option is to cancel your current submission, request a refund of my [redacted] payment, and resubmit using [redacted] to pay.” I did not have a [redacted] account so I left my payment with [redacted]. On July [redacted], I called [redacted] about my payment and they indicated that my payment was cleared on July **, 2013 and notice was sent to Elite Editing that my payment was confirmed on the same day. I immediately email Elite Editing after I spoke with the [redacted] representative to consult someone about the information I received from [redacted] about my payment being confirmed on July **. My email on July [redacted] stated:

“I have contacted [redacted] and they informed me that your company received my payment on July ** at 8:54 a.m. So, I’m not sure why my document has not been assigned an editor. I needed this document today completely edited and now I’m stranded.”

I received an email from Elite Editing on July [redacted] stating:

“We are sorry for the inconvenience. We have been notified by [redacted] that your payment cleared yesterday. Did you still want us to move forward with editing your document or would you like a refund?”

I responded on the same day and informed Elite Editing that I made “alternative arrangements with another editor. I would like a refund. Please let me know when I should expect to receive my refund.”

On August [redacted], I followed up with Elite Editing to let them know that I did not receive information about my refund. After my email, I received an email from Elite Editing indicating that

“We have contacted our payment department and let them know you requested a refund. If you do not receive a notice that your payment has been refunded in the next couple of days, please let us know.”

On August [redacted], I followed up with an email to Elite Editing to inform them that I did not receive my refund and to please let me know when to expect it. On August [redacted], I followed up with another email about my refund and I received no response from Elite Editing. I am an assistant professor at a university and by this time my schedule got really busy with the start of the semester and classes.

On September [redacted], I emailed Elite Editing again about my refund and provided them with three phone numbers and an alternative phone number to contact me about my refund. It should be noted that I have also called Elite Editing several times about my refund and each time I call them the representative informed that I needed to speak with the owner who was not in the office any of the times I called about my refund. I was also told that I would receive a return phone call from the owner which I have not received to date. It should be noted that the Elite Editing website does not indicate that you need to use [redacted] to get the manuscript in 24 hours and I also raise questions about why [redacted] is an option for the 24 hour expedited turnaround service if they do not get confirmation in an expedited manner. I am hoping that the Revdex.com will help me to receive my refund.
