Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Due to having an in home daycare, we discussed the timeline to get the work done At first, they wanted to start on a Monday and finish on Friday Knowing I could not keep my kids out that much, we moved the start date to Thursday and Finish on Monday which gave the men days to work and they promised that would be enough time for their excellent crewWe agreed to this mutually When the first installer arrived, he made it clear to us that he was very unaware of how much he was removingHe was unaware he had to remove tile and did not know our wood floors were glued downHe expressed he didn’t have the right tool for it and he had to go all the way to Irving to get itMy husband very nicely told him that we had an account with a rental company down the street and could get the tool for $which would save money and timeThe installer seemed to be good with that and he took the card and left the house He was only at our house for minutes We did not discuss a finish date with the installer, nor did we curse or yell at the installer as he was the one who was to be working on our floors, I would not have wanted bad service from himHe was a nice gentleman During the time the carpet installer was at the house, I took my daycare children out as to not get in anyone’s wayBy the time I arrived later that afternoon, the original contractors were still not at the house and I was told that they would still be coming, even after 4:PM Friday, we still had no installer coming to the house and I was told that the original installer would be there with people and guaranteed the work would be done in timeSaturday morning, Ally came to the house with different gentlemen and rushed them through our house and told us that they would be taking care of the demo of the house and not to worryWe then left the house get the kids out of the house so the men could work I received a call from [redacted] stating that the installer quit on him (at this point he tried to blame us for yelling at him at which I explained that NEVER happened and he wasn’t at the house to do any work so how could I yell at someone that wasn’t there) [redacted] promised he would fix it and he would make sure it all got done for us and said he was sorry and he wasn’t going to use them anymore for doing that to him When we arrived back to our house, we saw the damage had already been done The guys they hired off the street had dug into the subflooring of our home, did not cover anything up so dust and debris covered our entire home, there were holes in our wall and cabinets from debris flying everywhere and the debris they did have they threw all over our front yard and told us they were not being paid to haul it awayOur homeowners association and it was part of our agreement when removing our current flooring I immediately called [redacted] to explain this to him and the guys had me show them the damageWe requested his presence at the house and he refused to come because he had his daughterThe contractors told us [redacted] was refusing to pay them and they called the police to our homeI walked the police through our house and provided the police officer [redacted] and Allys phone number and company name as requestedMy husband already knew the contractors from another house they worked on together for paintingWe have a statement from them regarding the discussion between [redacted] and them as well as the police report I told [redacted] that I know there was no way he was going to fix this by Monday and that we were extremely dissatisfied and we wanted our deposit back so we could pay to have it fixedHe refusedThe discussion went back and forth to try and negotiate what was already spent but at no time would he agree to fix the damage to the houseWe immediately filed a claim with our home owners insurance [redacted] never once feared for his safety regarding my husband’s disabilityIf he did, he would have never done business with usWe are EXTREMELY offended at the fact that he is trying to use the disability of an Army Veteran as the reason the work on our house was not doneThe only time the PTSD was discussed was when [redacted] and my husband were having a casual conversation regarding his service dog that my husband loves very much and is helping him get over his fears while [redacted] was in our home doing the estimateThis was never ever discussed with the contractors because we left the house while they were working so the kids would not be in their way This is pure discrimination that I am also submitting to our attorney and the homeowner’s insurance company for subrogationThe company has a guarantee of our satisfaction which did not take place and we asked for our money back and we were told that we would not see a penny of our money and that the money was removed from the bank accounts and “good luck filing a lawsuit because I have an LLC and you can’t touch me” I am attaching the text messages that hold up to our end of the story as well as pictures of the damage done to our homeI am also attaching the damage estimate from our homeowner’s insurance adjuster as well as the “quote/agreement” we received from his company stating the guarantee and he is not upholding to that The estimate from the adjuster is for damages to the flooring, vanity, and some walls onlyIt does not cover to replace the floors as it was not caused by a natural disaster[redacted] took 60% of the entire project for materials, did not supply all of the materials and did not uphold his guarantee as part of the signed agreementWe should not have had to pay for any of the work done to our home as the carpet was left extremely unfinished and repairs need to be made to the installation and seams and it needs to be finished because he did not order enough carpet and we have been left without use of most of our home for months due to not having any floors in our home We did not even receive the materials (which were what the deposit was for) We received partial carpet and padding and baseboards thrown in our garage, and thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to our home You can see the estimate provided by our homeowner’s insurance company for damages aloneIt does not cover floor replacement, only damages We did not receive the tile we ordered nor did he attempt to cover any of the damages that were done to our homeHe claims we are unreasonable people and no damage was doneThe proof is in the attachments My business has been suffering since March because of an unfinished house; we had to file a homeowner’s insurance claim to help cover the extent of the damages to our subflooring, walls, furniture, etcfrom our home Regards, [redacted]

The homeowner was given a contract that we had 4-6 days to finish the job. Then we were told that we could not start the tile portion of the job until Friday morning. My contractor showed up and was told by the owners of the home that he had until Monday to finish the job. This was not in the...

contract and should never have been relayed to my contractor. All communication should have come through me. At that point I had already spent 4300 on carpet, and 2000 on labor and equiptment. The owners of the household were yelling and cussing when my contractors were there and told them he had PTSD. I feared for my safety. I had spent all of the down payment on materials and labor, and my contractor would not step foot in that house so I told them we would not complete the balance of the job. I still hired a crew to come pick up the debris from the front yard. They are unreasonable people and looking to make a quick buck. They broke my contract when they changed the install time and ran off my contractor. There is no money owed since materials were purchased and the carpet was completed which was what they paid for. I will say again they are not reasonable people and I have multiple statements from my contractors and employee. They should be turned into their insurance for fraud since there was no damage done!
