Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2016/06/21) */ River Park Travel has proudly served the Central Valley and its local Non Profits since 1989_ Maintaining positive relationships with our customers is of our highest concernIn this specific case, River Park Travel created an event to help raise funds for a local charityAt the event, over twenty luxury star packages were sold to help raise funds for the local Non ProfitThrough much effort, River Park Travel acquired each of these Resorts and Hotels to donate stays for our local charity in FresnoWe work really hard to make the Hotel and the certificate buyer happyThe certificates have restricted dates depending on how full their hotel is which makes it extremely difficult to determine in advance when they will have availabilityHotels don't like to give FREE rooms when they can sell them for FULL price, let alone provide them to a charity in the small town of FresnoRiver Park Travel explained the details of booking the packages during the event which was serving alcoholic beveragesThe main restriction was typed in BOLD font to contact River Park Travel a minimum of days prior to the requested dateHosting events such as this is a common occurrence with other nonprofits here locallyVirtually all of our customers appreciate the value River Park Travel presented during the charity eventRiver Park Travel staff went out of their way to accommodate Mr [redacted] to create a reasonable solution regarding his certificateThey explicitly stated that our office mostly deals with only star luxury accommodations but would attempt to provide him tickets to Universal studios and the two star park hotel in exchange for the customers certificateDue to supplier requirements to personally pick up the park tickets to prevent fraud, the customer had to drive an additional miles to retrieve his park ticketsMy staff was in constant conununications with the customer via email and telephone and even tried to get this requirement waivedThe customer contacted River Park Travel three times within a three hour span on a late Friday afternoon with no responseThe River Park Travel staff was handling a major group booking which had a deadline by pm that afternoon and were unable to talk to the customerWhen River Park Travel contacted the customer even after business hours to provide the reason for not speaking with hint in the three hour span, the customer yelled at the employeeFor Mr [redacted] to use ad hominem remarks towards River Park Travel and its staff is truly unbecomingOur office beholds ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen constantly striving to provide the luxury experience for our valued customers Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 10, 2016/06/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) River Park Travel and its employees are LIARS....proudly serving our community is a bold face lieTo suggest alcohol was a factor in me not understanding the conditions of the certificate is a bold face LIE, they NEVER mentioned the conditions of this voucher except for the fact there were blackout dates, in fact I don't drink alcohol, so unless my mind was under the influence of a soft drink They act like they are some high end travel company u work out of a dingy office, they dress like they bought there clothes from a thrift shop how dare they suggest I stay at a star hotel not only are you insulting me but you are insulting the ppl who support you locallyIf convenience is what I am looking for with traveling with my kids and I have no alternative but Sheraton and Hilton at Universial well if it's a star so be it but they were chafing star prices with the River Park offer star service.....with no mention of [redacted] who ignored to return a phone call, don't care if you booking a $100,trip, I was still a customer and your lack of service led to this complaint, if I am wrong maybe you and River Park travel should real your reviews on YelpLuxury Travel companies like you offer "free travel bags" LOL ya right....what are they [redacted] At the end of the day you guys are a travel agency I was fooled by your antics at charity event, that led to this all not only did you lie to me, you lied to Amex and you are now continuing your lies to the Revdex.com If you are a Luxury Travel Agency and continue to believe that than advertise that....don't cover your windows with all these posters of getaways, most LUXURY companies don't have to advertise, and the staff should be professionally dressed, not dressed like slobs I would also like to mention that our company donated $to that charity even though you guys ruined our experience for once River Park travel should take blame for there actions I don't care if this gets resolved the fact that this company runs a business like this with out a care in the world is scary, deceiving ppl, and ruining there trips is a shame! Thank god I live in a country where freedom of speech allows me to spotlight terrible businesses like this

raise funds for a local charity. At the event, over twenty luxury 5 star packages were sold to help raise funds for the local Non Profit. Through much effort, River Park Travel acquired each of these Resorts and Hotels to donate stays for our local charity in Fresno. We work really hard to make the Hotel and the certificate buyer happy. The certificates have restricted dates depending on how full their hotel is which makes it extremely difficult to determine in advance when they will have availability. Hotels don't like to give FREE rooms when they can sell them for FULL price, let alone provide them to a charity in the small town of Fresno. River Park Travel explained the details of booking the packages during the event which was serving alcoholic beverages. The main restriction was typed in BOLD font to contact River Park Travel a minimum of 30 days prior to the requested date. Hosting events such as this is a common occurrence with other nonprofits here locally. Virtually all of our customers appreciate the value River Park Travel presented during the charity event. River Park Travel staff went out of their way to accommodate Mr. [redacted] to create a reasonable solution regarding his certificate. They explicitly stated that our office mostly deals with only 5 star luxury accommodations but would attempt to provide him tickets to Universal studios and the two star park hotel in exchange for the customers certificate. Due to supplier requirements to personally pick up the park tickets to prevent fraud, the customer had to drive an additional 2.8 miles to retrieve his park tickets. My staff was in constant conununications with the customer via email and telephone and even tried to get this requirement waived. The customer contacted River Park Travel three times within a three hour span on a late Friday afternoon with no response. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID .12203373 and find that Mediation is necessary but only as...

long as all involved parties understand that I am NOT waiving a right to legal action should there be no worthwhile remedy accomplished thru mediation.
