Elite Home Medical Respiratory Reviews (3)

In regards to the patient complaint from Friday, July 10th, Elite Home Medical is bothshocked and saddened to learn that this patient had a bad experience with our companyWetake great pride in our excellent customer service and fair dealings with all patients orpotential patients, and move quickly to resolve any issues that arise through the course ofbusiness dealingsIt is our position that Elite Home Medical went above andbeyond to try and assist this patient on the day in question, to which we "ill share ouraccount of the events below. After careful review of the patient's complaint, we would like to thank them for theirfeedback but we also feel that their version of the situation is both inaccurate and unfair. The patient states that the products we offered were not what they needed and that theOffice Manager (whose name they have incorrectly identified in their complaint), offered forthem to take home a SimplyGo portable oxygen concentrator at no cost for week to try itout, risk or obligation freeThis is wholly untrue, and not consistent with a businesspractice of a company whose livelihood depends on the sale and rental of medicalequipment. From our account, the patient arrived that day with intent to purchase an Airsep Freestyleportable oxygen concentrator that they saw in an adAfter review, our RespiratoryTherapist felt that it would not be suitable for them due to the fact that it did not have thecontinuous flow setting the patient needed due to an advanced pulmonary condition, towhich the patient agreedAn alternative suggestion was made for a SimplyGo which didhave the setting the patient needed, and a purchase price of $2,was given for a used unit,(not $2,as the patient states in their complaint)Because it was a higher price than theywanted to pay, the Office Manager made an alternative suggestion to rent it for week for$250, and if they liked it and wanted to keep it then he would deduct the rentalamount nom the final purchase priceAgain the patients felt that our rental price wastoo high, so he agreed to reduce the standard week rental amount to $in an attempt toaccommodate their budget and facilitate a saleAt this point the husband of the patientagreed, gave his credit card, it was ran for the $200, a receipt was provided, and he signed acontract for the week rentalAt no point during this transaction (which was witnessed bymultiple employees) did anyone state that this was a form of deposit, or that a refund wouldbe issued if they elected not to keep the equipment and return itFurthermore, the patientstates in their complaint that they believed the $would only be charged if they did notreturn the unit within week, yet they were clearly aware of the charge since they were givena copy of the co~ tract and a credit card receipt, and then later went on to ask for a refundupon early return. Two days later the husband returned the unit stating that it wasn't going to work out forthemNo other reason was given nor asked forHe then asked if there would be a refund since they returned it earlyThe Office Manager replied that the agreement was for a weekrental and normally there would not be a refund for early return, but in an attempt toFURTHER accommodate them he decided to charge back half of the contracted amount, which was $To this the customer agreed, shook hands, and left with no issues. However, the next day the patient called and commenced verbally abusive treatment towardsour staff, stating that they deserved the full refund since they couldn't use it and returned itearlyWhen the Office Manager tried to explain that a partial refund had been agreed to,and a full refund would not be possible due to administrative expenses she yelled over him, threatened retaliatory action and hung up the phone prior to engaging in any meaningfuldiscussion or attempt at further resolutionIt would appear that the patient carried out herthreats in the form of a complaint to the Revdex.com, to which Elite HomeMedical is, again, very saddened to see take place. We do want to reiterate and stress that we take patient care very seriously and will take greatsteps to ensure we accommodate even the most difficult of situationsIn this case, wegreeted the patient with a Service Technician, a Respiratory Therapist, and the OfficeManager who all worked together to provide a good experienceUnfortunately the patientfeels that this was not sufficient, and appears to be satisfied with no other resolution than afull refund for said equipment and services that were provided, for no other reason than theyfeel they owe nothing for a week rental of a portable oxygen concentrator that wasreturned earlyAs Elite Home Medical is a privately owned, for-profit company thatconducts its business through the sale and rental of medical equipment, we are not able toaccommodate such requests for clear reasonsWe understand that this is not the outcomethis patient is seeking, and apologize for being unable to meet their demandsWe do wishthem the best in their endeavors and continued struggle with a very serious and debilitatingmedical conditionThis compliant will be logged and used for future staff Review: On July 7th around 3:30 pm I come to this business: 'Elite Home Medical and Respiratory' to see Portable Oxygen Concentrators. The products I saw there were not what I needed, and I let [redacted], the person I was dealing with, know. However he told me that I can bring one of them (a used unit) home for a week, and try it for free, without any cost or obligations. He told me that if I used it may be I can like it. Even though that product was not what I needed I agreed because [redacted] offered it to me for free for a week.

That was a used Portable Oxygen Concentrator unit; brand Phillips; model SimplyGo; sale price: $ 2,100.00.

He took a copy of my Driver License, and my American Express Credit Card and I signed a commitment to pay $ 200.00 if I did not return the equipment in time (after a week).

I did not use that Equipment at all. On July 9th, around 10:00 am my husband returned it, I was not present because some health problems. But [redacted] told my husband that he is not going to return the money because he has to clean it and other excuses. After my husband complaints, [redacted] told him that he is going to return us only $ 100.00 because he rent that unit at $ 200.00 a week.

We are very unhappy with that situation. That business does not honor the agreement. We would like the complete money -$ 200.00- back. The agreement: to used it a week free of cost or obligations.Desired Settlement: Full refund: return the $ 200.00
