When I filed the complaint this complaint I had just gotten off of the phone with Dave as he disconnected the call without helping me to resolve the issue I have since taken my vehicle to a reputable mechanic that was able to easily determine that the evap canister with leaking I had the evap canister replaced and it cost me $260, my afternoon and one lunch I am now somewhat satisfied with the vehicle I just wanted to resolve the issue with as minimal conflict as possible This has gone too far I am ready to forgive Dave but he needs to calm down and stop being a jerk Regards, [redacted] P.SPlease diregard the subject line in this email transmission

When I filed the complaint this complaint I had just gotten off of the phone with Dave as he disconnected the call without helping me to resolve the issue.  I have since taken my vehicle to a reputable mechanic that was able to easily determine that the evap canister with leaking.  I had the evap canister replaced and it cost me $260, my afternoon and one lunch.  I am now somewhat satisfied with the vehicle.  I just wanted to resolve the issue with as minimal conflict as possible.  This has gone too far.  I am ready to forgive Dave but he needs to calm down and stop being a jerk.

Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2006 [redacted] on May 26,2016 with 126,882 at time of delivery. In mid July of 2016 I received a phone call from Mr. [redacted] regarding a "CHECK ENGINE" issue he was having with his truck. I referred him to [redacted]'s Auto Repair to assist him with his issue. at [redacted]'s and unknown to myself and Mr.[redacted], there was attempts made by Mr. [redacted] to repair this problem on his own. He admit that he went to the local auto parts store for a free engine scan then purchase parts that he was told he needed. One part he replaced was a [redacted] Valve except Mr. [redacted] failed to install the required gasket not allowing the valve to open and close properly. Mr. [redacted] change that part along with retesting system and road testing and doing one final test. after speaking with Mr. [redacted] I decided to pay for labor only as a "CUSTOMER COURTESY" and Mr. [redacted] will be required to pay for the part . His old part was returned to him so he could return it to his parts store for a refund . I found out that Mr. [redacted] pick up his truck after business hours and never made any efforts to paid his small bill of $75.60. Mr. [redacted] made many attempts to contact him no luck. If Mr. [redacted] is still having a check engine light issue I suggest he contacts Mr. [redacted] settles his July 26 invoice and he will rescan and advise him of any addition work & costs he will need to correct his problem. [redacted] Auto Repair has been in business for 30 years and haves all the required tools and knowledge to repair the problem not some auto parts counter sales person that only sells parts. HERE A SOME IMPORTANT FACTS : A) New York State Inspection report dated 5-25-2016 clearing showing a monitors was cleared. B) [redacted] repair invoice dated 7/26/2016 showing repairs perform and unpaid bill. (please take notice of the miles of 129,757 nearly 3,000 miles placed on this truck in 8 weeks. obviously there been no driveability issues ) C) Copy of required New York State used vehicle warranty ( lemon law) signed by Mr [redacted]. Finally Mr. [redacted] statement calling me a "BULLY".  Mr. [redacted] has 25-30 less age on me and towers me both by Height and Weight. And one last item; [redacted] Auto Repair is owned by [redacted] ( [redacted]'s father) had no involvement in this matter. Mr. [redacted] should get his facts straight. Regards, David G.
