Elite Medical Services Inc. Reviews (1)

I'd like to begin by clarifying that the complainant, Ms. [redacted], is not a customer of mine, nor the training center. Her 22 year old adult daughter is a student here at the training center. Upon registration, on August 15,2014,the student was made aware of her...

payment options ,the same options that are clearly depicted on the web-site, where she stated she first located us and read about our program.' active duty personnel and their immediate family members receive a $100 Military discount and can receive an additional $100 discount if they pay in full at the time of enrollment/registration, for a total of $200 discount (military full pay discount}.If they choose to do the payment plan they only receive the $100 Military discount." The non-refundable registration fee is $395,which is what a student wouldnormally pay when enrolling in the payment plan, leaving a balance of $800. This student was unable to pay the entire tuition at the time of enrollment,(in which case she would have received a military full pay discount of $200), so she decided on the payment plan. She also did not have enough money at the time for the entire registration fee of $395 and only put down $200. I accepted the deposit, and both the payment and the balance are clearly written on the receipt and enrollment form. Our invoice/receipts show the discounts only on the final payment (as is stated In the receipt). On October 11,the student thought she had made her last payment. Her balance prior to payment was $515. She made a paymentof $315, which brought her balance to $200. With the $100 military discount being applied to the balance of $200 her final payment would now be $100.   I have attached documentsshowing the exact same discounts for other students, before, during and after her session. It is the same for everyone. I also have dated copies of the web-page which clearly show the discounts, in detail. In regards to our student's mother, Ms. [redacted];on the evening of October14th 1 had missed 3 phone calls (6:29,6:30,and 6:32) from her. Prior to calling her back I listened to her voice mail and she had sounded agitated and angry. I hesitated to call her back, but at 6:40 I did so, as a courtesy (because she was apparently assisting her daughter with payments),to explain and clarify the billing & discount situation, which she had obviously misunderstood. Over the next 4 minutes, I attempted to talk to Ms. [redacted] about the invoice and discounts but I could barely get a word in, for Ms. [redacted] was very agitated. I calmly, nicely and professionally asked her repeatedly to calm down so I could refresh her memory on the military discount to clear up her confusion. I asked her to look on the website so she could see it, but she continued yelling and stated ul don't have time to look at the stupid website".She was yelling so loudly that all of the students, some 20+feet away, could hear her yelling at me while she was making disparaging remarks about myself and the school. I maintained a calm and professional tone during the entire phone call while attempting to calm her, but I disconnected the call as she continued to scream obscenities at me. She called back less than a minute later. I politely answered the phone at 6:45,hoping she had taken a few seconds to calm down and she was hysterical, again yelling and she made threats that she was gonna get me, and that I couldn't stop her. Imploring her to calm down was like talking to a wall. I again hung up the phone after realizing she would not calm down/stop yelling obscenities and name calling, " " (among other things). She called back again at 7:15but I refused to answer. I don't understand why she was so hysterically angry. I've been in the medical field for over 30 years,  as a paramedic and a registered nurse, and am a great judge of people's reactions towards different events and situations ,and her behavior certainly did not match a person's misunderstanding of a $100 discrepancy, not even close. She didn't want to hear anything I had to say or any explanation of the billing or accompanying discounts. I felt as if she had just called to pick .a fight.  It just doesn't make sense. Her behavior and anger was extremely inappropriate. I was advised by high ranking military officials that I associate with to notify her Commanding Officer and to report to the police ,but I am a peaceful person and am hoping that her actions were born out of a simple misunderstanding and possibly a really really bad day.I however, was concerned and somewhat afraid for myself, my students and my instructors, and immediately made a documented report of the incidentfor the police , just in case she showed up at the training center demonstrating hostile behavior.  I also warned my employee instructor of the situation and advisedher that if Ms. [redacted] shows up at the Training Center to ask her to leave, and to call the police if necessary to ensure everyone's safety. I took off from work the next 2 days, very bothered by the whole incident, literally sick to my stomach. It made me feel depressed, because I really pour my heart and soulin to helping people, especially my students, and to have someone behave this way towards me and my training center really weighs heavy on me. On the night of the phone calls I was so upset at the matter that I told her daughter, my student, that I would waive the final$100 payment. I just didn't want to deal with her mother anymore, in any way, and that it wasn't worth the aggravation of trying to communicate with herThe national certification exam date was set in September for November 9 1  and that exam date has never change. (Please see attached documentation.) The website training calendaralso shows the exam dates in advance. I'm not sure why Ms. [redacted] thought  the exam date was any different. In closing, I would like this matter to be settled. While I am sorry that Ms. [redacted] misunderstood the discount, as explained to her daughter and her and clearly depicted in the website, I cannot apologize to for anything I personally did, as I did nothing wrong.  My many attempts to explain the bill & discounts to her were out of courtesy, since she was apparently aiding her daughter with payments.I understand the Revdex.com is here to protect the consumer, but I also expect the Revdex.com to protect my rights as a fellow consumer and business owner as well. I feel Ms. [redacted]'s complaint to be unfounded and born out of her own misunderstanding and misplaced anger, and  I hope you (Revdex.com) will come to the same conclusion. I want to maintain our A+ rating that we've held for many years. 12 years in business without any customer complaints and zero complaints during the 7+ years as a proud member with the Revdex.com. Our record and our testimonials  should speak for our professionalism and dedication to public service. We are in business to help people and pride ourselves on doing just that. Ms. [redacted]'s daughter, our student, has since successfully graduated from the program and demonstrated her satisfaction with the Training Center and thanks to my instructor and me by commenting on our website guestbook. 1 truly hope that Ms. [redacted] can get past this misunderstanding and be proud that her daughter received a good phlebotomy education and successfully graduated.
