Tonight I took a taxi from Elite Taxi in Phoenix, AZ, for the 4th time, for a ride, that, with stopping at the convenience store in between point A and point B, would only cost $18 and some change. This cab driver started the meter before I even got to the car so by the time we got to the end of the street it was already at $4. When I asked him if he was running the meter before I got into the cab, after a moment of silence, he told me no, like I didn't know any better. When we got to my house I saw that the meter said $21.88. After getting my baby out of the car I asked him how much I owed and he told me that I owed almost $24. I immediately called the company to make a complaint and the guy on the phone didn't even listen to me. He put me on hold then came back on the phone with his voice raised telling me that I was yelling in the cab and that I could find another business to use. I will never use this company again. They are rude and disrespectful and from my experience with this driver, I would say down right underhanded. I would not suggest this taxi company for anybody.
