Elite Tinting and Graphics Reviews (1)

Ms*** had previously scheduled times prior to 12/21/to have the windows tinted on her Jeep Cherokee and canceled at the last minute leaving us with an unfilled schedule which cost us time & money Each time she called to inquire about getting her front windows tinted to
match the rear windows (Factory tint on SUV is 20%) she was told that to film the front windows darker than MN Legal limit of 50% VLT that she would need a written prescription from her eye doctor in which she said she had one and or was getting one due to her condition. Ms*** told us she had the prescription from her doctor, and when she called to reschedule her appointment with us, she then said she couldn’t find a doctor who wasn’t scared to write a prescription, for fear of having to go to court On 12/21/when she finally came in, she stated that she didn’t want to get in trouble for having her windows too dark, so we informed her once again of the Minnesota Tint Laws at that timeAfter being informed of what the tint laws are, Ms*** once again stated she wasn’t happy that we wouldn’t tint her windows darker than legal without a prescription on fileAfter speaking with her for several minutes, I showed her what the legal limit film looked like on of our different shop and personal vehicles, and while doing so showed her the different grades of film, explaining that the film does not look the same on every vehicle due to many different factors (different interior colors, different shades of film on other windows in the vehicle, different angles of the sun at any given time of day)She was given pricing on the three grades of film, at which time she chose the Pinnacle Series Ceramic film, based on the manufacturers heat rejection specs of 49% At no time was she told that her vehicle would look exactly like any of the vehicles that she was shown that have the same film on them, due to the factors listed aboveWe feel we went the extra mile for this customer by putting on her extra accessories brought into us for a very minimal chargeOnce the installer was done putting her window film on her vehicle, she was brought out in the shop area to inspect the vehicle before she left our locationUpon her inspection, she said it looked good, but wasn’t as dark as she wanted it to be, at which time we again told her about the legal limit in Minnesota. Ms*** then called the shop about a week later (this is the day I spoke with her on the phone) and then accused us of not even applying anything to her windowsShe stated that she went and had her windows metered somewhere locally and it showed there was no film on themI tried to explain to her in that conversation that if she wanted to bring the vehicle in, that we would gladly put a certified and calibrated meter on her windows to show her that the work we charged her for was, in fact, done properlyShe was yelling at me on the phone and saying she was going to report us to the Revdex.com and call the police, and I told her she should do whatever she felt was necessary, but we stood behind our work Ms*** was obviously upset over the fact that we wouldn’t film her windows darker than the legal limit of 50% without the doctors written prescription.
