Travel agency sent me to St. Johns, New Bruinswick instead of St. John's, Newfoundland. Had difficulty getting agency to send to right locations. Was told they would send to right location. Was told they would reimburse money but have not as of this date.

This has caught our company off guard. We just met with *** 2 weeks ago to rebook an additional trip to Ireland, she advised us she was satisfied with how we handled her situation as she worked with our manager ***. The error was not that of Elite Travel Inc, but was the vendor who we purchased the trip from who advised and accepted the wrong *** Airport. They had stated the flight was correct and they would pick the clients up at the airport. When the client contacted us of the issue the agency, even with it being not our error but the error of the Vendor purchased almost 2,000 in airline tickets to get her to her destination, we also purchased accommodations at our cost, even with it not being our error. The client elected to not stay in the hotel we purchased and expended revenue even with us paying for things to remedy the issue for an error or an issue. Also *** had signed off and inspected all the flights advising they were what she wanted to purchase. Regardless of having signed authorization from the client the order was correct, we continued to service the client. We contacted family members, and were available to her 24/7 every step of the way. We contacted the tour companies during travel assistance line who stated it was their error and we need to file for reimbursement upon her return. The missed a small welcoming dinner and flew in the following morning to join the tour. We contacted the client numerous time during the remaining of the trip to ensure everything was in order. Upon her return we met with her and clearly explained the process would take several months to go through the insurance process as well as the formal complaint we were filing with the Tour Company. Our agency was out almost 3,000 which technically she should of paid, then filed on insurance or with the vendor. Our agency out of consideration for what we believed was a long term client as well as friend footed the bill for her. She was out minimal cost transfers and a few meals, which we clearly told her would be reimbursed, but it had to go via the customer service grievance process with the vendor. We again had this conversation when *** came in asking us to book or research another trip with us and she again told us she was happy with our agency. At no time upon her return with multiple calls and meetings has she stated she was unhappy with our company or service. We received a notice of reimbursement to the agency from the Vendor after their investigation of their error, one week ago we received the notice of the reimbursement to Elite Travel for their cost and loss protecting the client from the vendor error, as well as authorization they were sending a check for her out of pocket expenses. We have not received this payment but foresee it coming within the next week or so. Once received the small out of pocket expense the client is waiting for will be paid by check. We have reached out to *** and to date she has not returned our calls. Once the check is received in the amount due we have properly handled and error which WAS NOT our agencies error but a the vendor who was the actual supplier of the travel itinerary.

I am rejecting this response because:

I went to Elite travel to see if *** had gotten a letter from ***. She said that she had not. I told her that I got a letter stating that they will not pay anything on the mix up on my destination of being sent to the wrong Province in Canada.I did get some travel books to Ireland there as well as two other travel agencies. When we was sent to the wrong Province we has spoken to our tour guide and she said that they would not be responsible for the mix up.We were two senior citizens traveling by wheel chairs to get through the airports.We inquired about whether there was any motels close by. They called and said there was one room at the airport that we are now in.We took this room knowing that we had to be up at three to get our next flight to get to our destination. The crew at the airport picked us up by wheel chair,to take us to check in.The Travel Agency had sent an text,while we were in flight, that they had gotten a motel but we was not aware of it It took 31 hours to get to the destination that we was suppose to be,getting very little sleep due to catching flights so early.This room was put on my credit card as we was told to do. We were told to keep all receipts and we would be reimbursed Due to the mix up we would lose two days of our tour.The second day we got to our destination at 1130 when the group was coming back to the motel.I had put faith in this travel agency,bought travel insurance and joined a tour.I am not sure what else I could have done to get to the right destination.I would have expected the travel agency to get my airline tickets,my motel and food to get me home as well as get me to the right destination.

Used this travel agency and they sent us to the wrong providence in Canada. They made the process very difficult and wanted us to pay our own way out of the problem. We kept all receipts as we were told they would give us the money back and received no compensation for their error. We were put in a dangerous situation.
