Hired EJ Estate Salea to sell furniture and contents of my late parents home in Riverside. First mistake was not getting an inventory of what EJ took from the home, that took 9 months to get after dozens of phone calls and emails. Second, finally after receiving inventory and statement, a check was owed for the goods sold in the now 12 month period, this took another 3 months to get. Once I thought we were out of the woods, and we only had one more payment owed to us and the remainder of the consigned goods; first comes a check written to the incorrect payee, after check was returned, to be re-written, a new check was never sent. Even with dozens of phone calls, voicemails and texts, countless promises were made to have the "check put in the mail", it never happened. We are now pursuing the recovery of the remaining furniture and owed money through the New Haven County Superior Court. After over 2 years, I've probably made well over 60-70 phone calls, heard every excuse in the book, been yelled at by EJ and Her husband, who "doesn't work with her", but easily makes statements and excuses on her behalf. I've recorded every communication, every promise, every lie and misdoing by EJ and will have the courts handle her. She is unethical, dishonest and prays on vulnerable, mourning families who have just lost loved one. The amount of money owed and furniture still in consignment isn't worth the action, but protecting future victims from this crook will be reason enough to pursue her.
