Review: I have used Elizabeth Tax Services twice before with concerns I decided to overlook beyond my better judgement. I moved out of state yet decided to have Elizabeth prepare my 2014 income tax. I filed a tax return and received a portion less than what the [redacted] stated I would be receiving on February [redacted], 2015. I don't have any offsets so the full refund is due to me. I have been asked by [redacted]'s assistant for a $100 tax preparer fee, which is a usual request. I originally stated that I will pay the fee once the full refund is awarded to me. I have called [redacted]'s office many times only to get her assistant who refuses to transfer me to [redacted]. I explained my refund issues to the assistant and she stated that she will speak with [redacted] and get it sorted out. After 3 weeks of no update, I called the office again. I had to call over 10 times, put on hold 5 times, have had calls where it would ring, sound like someone picked up, then got hung up on. I finally got a hold of the assistant after numerous attempts. The assistant stated that a check for the difference has been sent to me but was returned in the mail due to an address issue. I took her word for it and provided my address. She said I should receive the check in a week. It has been 2 weeks since that call and no check. I tried calling [redacted]'s office to no avail and even traveled to New York and visted the office during business hours, only for the office to be closed. Three other people were standing outside her office hoping she'd appear. So today I decided to call the [redacted] one more time. I have come to find out through a conversation with the [redacted] that my refund was actually sent to a "tax preparer account". I looked at my bank statement to notice that my taxes were prepared through "[redacted]" or "[redacted]". I entered my information on the site only to find out that [redacted] decided to line her pockets with $300 without my consent and still ask me for $100 for fees she has already taken.Desired Settlement: I would like my difference of $354 deposited into my account at once. The same goes for my boyfriend who filed taxes with [redacted]. He is currently short $473. She has both our direct deposit information.
